Hey Everyone! I'll be traveling to Augusta,GA from Charlotte, NC with my boyfriend 2/8-10 and we're on the hunt for some places to play some pins!

Where are your favorite places to play in or around Augusta? We don't want just ANYWHERE to play pins. We obviously want to play somewhere the games are actually kept up with, a spot with a good selection. Beer/alcohol servings are a plus.

    Thanks!

Augusta, GA?! Man I lived there for two years. I think they have a Walgreens and a Kroger.. oh and a Best Buy. Man I don't know what I would have done without that Best Buy. i would get so bored, I would go there buy something, play with it for a week, then return it. The first 1-2 months was tough. I went from Chicago Downtown with hundreds of people walking by my condo everyday to an apartment nestled against some woods in Augusta,GA. There was always some animal that was eating another in the middle of the night.. those sounds at night ,I can still hear them.

But.. I was also very stress free, and I went to the gym everyday. Went from 250lbs,to 195.. I was buffed.

Augusta doesn't have anything really in pinball department. Grew up there, parents still live there, visit annually. it is not a 'hip' place.

you'll be lucky to find anything at all..there are 3 games total on location here, and augusta doesnt have a place on pinball map app.

best to do something else, though, there isnt much to do there unless you like golf.

There was a blown out Whirlwind at Firehouse Bar and a beater CFTBL at Soul Bar. Both on Broad St - which is where all the bars are. Both decent dive bars.

It’s been about a year since I was there but I basically lived there for a few years.

Drive 1.25-1.5 hours to Columbia Sc and go check out Firefly. Was worth the drive.

Augusta has a lot of great “bones” but the town is still struggling to be much more than a military town with some decent industrial jobs around. It could be a Greenville SC or Charleston SC but, it’s missing “it”.

Food is decent just hit the main places covered on yelp and you’ll do fine and won’t break the bank compared to ATL or Charlotte.

I agree about Firefly in Columbia. I went there last week. Screens above every machine so everyone can watch. Off the top of my head their line up included Batman 66, Houdini, STNG, Star Trek Pro, Doctor Who, Twilight Zone, Gorgar.. $1 a game
