This is a coil with a brass sleeve that is 1/2" D. I see that The Pinball Resource has a brass sleeve, but it is 5/8" D, and I don't the coil listed at all. Also, The Pinball Resource seems to say to replace the Bally bell assembly with a Gottlieb rig, but I really don't want to do that.

Marco's seems to say that it is cross-listed here, but this is a lot longer, and thus will not fit on the bracket:

How about pictures of your original coil and bell assembly?

I bought the last and only coil Marco had in stock a while back. I tried to order 5 at the time. I gave it to APB_Enterprises to see if he could remake it. He's still working on it, but it's not looking promising at this point. The bobbin size is the problem as it seems to be unique. Creating a new plastic bobbin mold sounds like it would be cost prohibitive and no one wants to touch making the original paper ones anymore. He's not given up yet though and still working on it. I still need a few more for my 60's Bally EMs as I'm sure many others do too with how much these coils get worked over.

Use Bally coil number CB-31-2000 as a replacement.

Use a chime coil sleeve # 03-7067-2 flanged sleeve.

I had a hard time getting any other bobbin (including the one mentioned) to fit in the sample bracket you lent me. The height was wrong for everything we tried.

To get people going again we may 3D print these, but that will make any real production slow. If we do this I am going to update the coil to use a normal sleeve which will require a tad of reworking of the bobbin.

I am chasing another paper supplier to see if we can get them made in paper.

I will let you know how things progress.

Thank you. There are a lot of us that will be patiently waiting.

Just curious if there is any update to this old thread? Working on an old Bally and trying to re-construct the missing bell unit.
