Stern Electronics, 1979It looks like I may need a volume attenuator MC3340 chip for my Magic SB 100 sound board (U14). I checked Great Plains Electronics and he doesn't list any. I've found them on Ebay but I don't like dealing with Ebay and they seem to be from China.
Is there a substitute or anywhere in the US that would have one?

Thanks LTG. I just looked them up - they show two suppliers - neither show a price online. "call for price" and "request a quote"
I always wonder about places that don't show a price.
Careful with ebay, though.
Large percentage are fakes.
One seller has 50 listed for $29.30. On-Semi parts with 1412 date codes.
These were discontinued long before 2014... and On-Semiconductor *never* made these parts. They were discontinued before Moto split up in 2003.
Per On-Semi / Moto tech support -- last used date code on parts was 0028.
There are a few legit looking ones but the one that looks most promising is in the red SK3891 box.

I been burnt so many times on Ebay I feel like a piece of charcoal.
