My Capcom Pinball Magic is now offline. Turns out a small part (Actuator arm) on the flipper mech seems to have sheered off.

The part number is A-00425-R-2 (but is interchangeable with the A-00425-L-2 pat). See picture.

Unfortunately, like so many Capcom parts, this one appears unavailable at Marco. I'm not even finding it in Australia which is where I've stocked up on many other hard-to-find Capcom parts and plastics for my PM.

So the first question is where can I find this specific actuator part to at least get the game up and running?

The next obvious question is where can I find the parts to do a complete rebuild?
There are no Capcom kits that I can find, so searching for individual parts (I think this is most of what a rebuild should replace):

A-00429-L/R - Plunger assemblies ... not available
PL00132-5 - 2.218 inch (2 7/32") collared coil sleeves ... not specifically available, but maybe something close in the b/w parts pin?
SG00111 - Spring Ext. 0.200 x 1.063 L ... not available
A-00378 - Coil stops ... reproductions available from Marco. Originals from PSP/AU
SW00127 - Leaf Switch ... available from PSP/AU

And if I were doing it, now after 30 years of play, I'd replace the following parts as well:
PL00264 - Bushing ... available
A-00217-Y - Flipper bat & shaft ... available from PSP/AU

Who's going to make and sell Capcom flipper rebuilt kits? The Capcom titles are just too awesome to have to retire due to no parts....

Quoted from ToucanF16:

Don't some folks simply replace it with a full B/W flipper assembly? Some say the Capcom flipper has better 'feel', but if a B/W unit will drop in that may solve your problem.

I did find a thread elsewhere that said a BW setup could be retro-fit to Capcom, however, I'm a purist and try to keep my games as original as possible. I don't like putting extra holes in the playfield, even if under the playfield. Sooner or later, someone's going to have to address spare parts for Capcom games...

Thanks Latenite04.

I had just placed my order for them with bestofpinball.com in Germany. I found a small supply there.
Though, for anyone with Pinball Magic, or any even rarer Capcom game, I'd suggest buying a spare set of these.

I attempted to edit my original post with an update, however, the forum denied me and said I wasn't a high enough level user or some crap. So, here's an update in the thread...

I just found a small supply at BestofPinball.com (Germany)]. Not sure if they now have any more left...

Here's an updated list of what I have found for individual parts:

A-00429-L/R - Plunger assemblies ... not found
A-00425-R-2/A-00425-L-2 (L & R are interchangeable if you find one but not the other) ... PBresource.com
PL00132-5 - 2.218 inch (2 7/32") collared coil sleeves ... not specifically available, but maybe something close in the b/w parts pin will fit?
SG00111 - Spring Ext. 0.200 x 1.063 L ... found at BestofPinball.com
A-00378 - Coil stops ... reproductions available from Marco. found originals at pinballspareparts.com.au and BestofPinball.com
SW00127 - Leaf Switch ... found at pinballspareparts.com.au

And if I were doing it, now after 30 years of play, I'd replace the following parts as well:
PL00264 - Bushing ... available Marco/reproduction
A-00217-Y - Flipper bat & shaft ... found at pinballspareparts.com.au

And the bigger question remains -- who's going to offer a complete Capcom flipper rebuild kit in the future?

Purchased the "NOS" and used RH assemblies pictured above as they were nearby (many thanks to MeNaCeFiRe!)

I am still waiting for more spare parts from Germany and Australia to perform complete flipper rebuilds, however, the one part I could not find anywhere in stock is the collared coil sleeve. The part identified by the game's manual is PL00132-5, a 2.218" long sleeve with collar.

I was hoping that the NOS assembly I purchased would have included the original sleeve so I could have put a set of calipers to get measurements and then try to find the closest thing in the Williams parts bin. Unfortunately the assembly did not have the original collared sleeve type.

This either means that a post instruction manual change was made and that a collared sleeve was not used on the production games (i.e. regular non-collared sleeve flipped around) -or- that the manual is correct and I just have had the bad luck of not finding an original sleeve in my game or with the NOS assembly purchased.

What have others done to address this?

Unfortunately I didn't see these when I placed my order. Hopefully they last.

I kid you not. I have an email from Nancy at Marco from Feb.2, 2019, that states the Actuator (1) was out of stock, (2) no plans to make more, and (3) that bestofpinball.com had some inventory....

The failure of the actuator in my game started this topic, but the most important pieces to find a source for are going to be the Plungers, Coil Stops, Coil Sleeves, EOS switches and springs. Those are the minimum replacements I'd think you want to do during regular flipper rebuilds.

In your pictures, those are not the collared coil sleeves shown in the manual. I'm wondering if the game ever shipped with them. Have not found them anywhere, and if collared secion extends too much it'll get whacked by the paw cam on each flip.

Also, those aren't the original style coil stops.
