I know there are a lot of haters here due to owners being allowed to bid on their own games etc., but if you are really motivated to buy, and willing to pay to ship, there are regularly many "Classic" videos that show up at Captains Auction Warehouse in Anaheim, CA. And he can pallet and ship if you want. He can even hold your paid purchases over to the next auction if you ask so you can consolidate shipping. He holds an auction about every 5-6 weeks. This last weekends auction had almost a whole row of classics. Many in nice shape. You can check out the games and prices here (start at page 3):

https://www.bidspotter.com/en-us/auction-catalogues/bsccapt/catalogue-id-bsccapt10070?CategoryCode=OTI

Just remember that on site bidding adds 15% buyers premium and online Bidspotter bidding adds 18% to the listed hammer price. Plus the local 8% sales tax. So add 23% to 28% to those listed prices.

I am sure there are a few Pinsiders that are local and attend and could give you an honest opinion of certain games physical condition (Online Pictures always look better than the game in person).

In fact, you just missed a G&G that was for sale in the last Auction. It went for $700 plus fees which puts it at around $861. Which most collectors would probably consider quite high. But someone was willing to pay it, at least out in Southern Calif. Good luck on your "Quest"!

BTW, there was a regular upright Tron which went for $1400 before fees.

Quoted from jhanley:

Don't even think about buying a used machine without seeing it first unless you know the guy well.Pictures just don't show enough details 90 percent of the time.

Agreed. Don't buy any games online unless you have a way of having a trusted friend check them over first. Unless of course, the seller can provide hi res photos of the entire game, inside and out. Reproduction artwork can make a game look great but many times, the quality is pretty poor.
