    It's no more dangerous than any other classifieds medium that doesn't track the user.
    The key difference is knowing who you're dealing with. Pinside & Facebook you generally are able to research the person a lot. Craigslist you need to spend a little more effort (and you should).

    How risky is carrying a few thousand dollars around to you? Taking it to your buddy's house is probably fine, taking it to a random person's house is more risky but still probably fine.
