When the new code arrives, will one of you please give me a kick. I'll probably be passed out on the floor.
Quoted from rotordave:Quite easy ....
1/ lift playfield up.
2/ locate snake mech
3/ loosen the screws on the snake mech
4/ slide a washer under the screw holes and put the screw back in
5/ tighten it all up
6/ enjoyOf course,
Isn't it easier just to loosen the locknut on the adjustment screw, and then turn the adjustment screw, and then retighten the locknut?
Quoted from Purpledrilmonkey:I haven't actually looked but I was under the impression there is no adjustment? I'm sure I've read that posted before...
Mine had one, and it was not too difficult. Turning the adjustment screw raises and lowers the snake jaw to any position you desire. Not sure if the pro model has something similar.
Quoted from sk8ball:LE/ Prem do not.
Mine did. I say did because I no longer own the machine, but it was there and I used it.
I just looked at the parts manual for the LE/ Premium and the adjustment screw for the snake jaw is located on the latch coil bracket.
Quoted from TomF:did you have to remove the snake bracket or can you get to the adjustment screw without removing it?
I did mine in place. I was able to lower the jaw below the playfield and raise it more than a quarter inch above it.
Quoted from Rarehero:I'm sure O-Din's adjustment screw fix is the right way - but honestly I can't find it lol.
I wouldn't have either if I hadn't called tech support on a problem I was having with the ball getting stuck behind the snakes lip. The first thing Chas asked was if I had tried adjusting it. I said "what adjustment?". He then told me where to look. Wasn't my problem, but I fine tuned it.
Not saying I don't like the washer method, it does come in handy. The right kickout on Barb Wire was throwing the ball SDTM, so I added a couple washers, and now it plays mean. Right off the tip of the flipper. Don't blink though, that thing hurls fastballs. Snake doesn't even come close.
How is it that they can make a list of features that the game comes with, but not include them when the game is bought and shipped. Is that even legal?
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Definitely seems illegal to me. Could be grounds for a pinside class action.
Where will we find any lawyers?
Quoted from hollywood:On the other hand, waiting for the code gives us all something to look forward to right?
Or something to bitch about. Imagine where Pinside would be if we didn't have that.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Affordable Care Act
Haven't read into that one yet. But If it means discounts on pinball parts, I'm all for it!
Quoted from Shapeshifter:I just want the update so I can sell mine!
Update, shmupdate. If you want it gone, then be done with it. Watching it leave was the highlight of my day.
Quoted from dannunz:James H. From Metallica is doing an interview on my local radio station on Monday. Should I call in and ask him if he knows when the code will be done and if there adding more songs?
He will probably say we will all be a bunch of old men by the time the code gets released.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:If Hitler was angry before Xmas he would be
********dead by now
Quoted from fast_in_muskoka:After reading some ( not all ) I'm thinkin' the guys in the band are gonna be as old as the Stones before you pinheads see another Metallica update . . .
I'm thinking the people waiting will.
Quoted from dgoett:the dust is really getting thick on the Metallica.
How long after the code release before it starts gathering dust again is what I asked myself before I sent it down the road.
Quoted from Rarehero:By your logic, you'll be sick of the music in any other game quicker.
Never tired of GnR. Less songs, but at least they were still somewhat relevant when that machine was made.
Timeless.
Quoted from Rarehero:331...surprised, I thought I'd have more than that. Feels like more.
I had more than that before I sold it months ago. It just started wearing on me after after awhile. I'm sure the code will make it all better.
Quoted from RobT:NIB purchases for me are definitely a thing of the past.
Plenty of nice, slightly used machines available in the local market.
Congo was a lot like Dirty Harry back in the day. I dropped in a few quarters, but was never overly impressed with the gameplay or overall package. But home environment can change that, so Dirty harry is on the way! Who knows, maybe Congo is next.
