Last update was August 2nd...

I heard that, for whatever reason, Mystery is typically one of the last things to be coded. I've heard that TRON was very late to add any real variety to the shot.

I kinda feel this way. No point in grabbing a pin fresh off the line until the code comes in, but with pins going up in value after the run is over, might bite me in the ass down the road. How often are games still on the line with 'finished' code? I think they're still making ACDC and Transformers, right? Those are 'done' (or close enough). Besides older pins like WOF, are there pins with no further production, and still not complete code?

It seems like no one 'knows' what's going on over there anymore. Check out The Walking Dead threads. People 'know' TWD is next or not next. Half were wrong.

It would be fun to do a pool for updates in 2014. Metallica, ACDC, XMEN, ST, etc. Closest to the date gets the right to brag that they randomly guessed closest to the actual release date.

How many plays have you logged since the last update? Check your audits. I think I had 236. That's including hosting four league nights.

I voted Ain't My Bitch and Hit the Lights. Maybe they have some generic 'rocker' modes ready to go and will tag the songs onto those? They might be able to predict the winners a few days early if there are landslides going on.

I saw the thread on Metallica's Facebook page early on, and most people were commenting about songs that were already in the game. I didn't get the feeling any of them knew the game existed and were just listing their two favorite Metallica songs. I could see non-pinheads getting involved. The whole process is a little convoluted too. Did anyone try voting for more than two songs? I noticed that you could 'check' as many songs as you wanted, but I didn't try to submit.

I think it was stated somewhere (no reference) that the band chose the songs initially included. It's possible the game was already designed with Sparky, so they just did what they could with the songs the band chose.
