Hoping it comes soon too but I will take the game with the original code over many other games. It does kind of suck without crank it up and there is a lot of basic stuff to be tweaked. I'm patient on this one because the game already has what I call a "soul" or personality. Xmen never did anything for me. ACDC isn't, TA I haven't spend much time with. It's been a while but at least the game is FUN NOW! Yes when you play all the time it feels empty but remember your first impression compared to Xmen if you can. I know all players won't agree and some are on the fence about MET. I am not. I have a lot of faith in this game's lasting power. It will "hopefully" only get better and maybe a slight bit deep. I still have my issues with Stern their PR, pricing and quality control. But considering what we have out there I think Metallica is the best game since Tron. Sorry ACDC fans It's my opinion. Just high fives for my fellow Metallica owners and something for them to read. Hopefully as I'm typing this someone's getting the update ready to Download.

This is my main point. I like the game, I have faith that an update will come. They're in business so I don't care if they cost cut or find a more efficient way of doing things. The communication is just awful. I mean I know you can't promise an exact date but at least keep people informed! You don't have to show your hand by promising features or giving deadlines but communicate. I can buy a bad ass new refrigerator for the same money as a pro. I bet they'd keep me informed on an update if some of the "features" weren't working. I.E. Crank it up.

What if the problem with X-men was in anticipation of this and the now infamous code came literally empty. Something a developer of software would beta test before sending out the first edition(or whatever the initial game would be called). That means they were trying to build a bigger team and unfortunately a harder task than first expected. Then Lyman is back up for Metallica and as empty as it is It's still a killer game (software wise) compared to X-men. This proved to Stern's team that Lyman couldn't be just replaced by any man or any team. He is a unique person. He is player, a top competitor and a top programmer. That being said I think he did an amazing job with AC/DC. I hate the game but the way it was designed I think he hit it out of the park as far as software. It's the only thing that makes it shine. Which is why there is so much discussion around code and updates.

I wouldn't be impatient at all if these threads didn't start like almost 2 months ago. I just feel teased. And salt in the wound with the Bonus speech rom! That's messed up! I have faith just don't like being teased with nonsense from those who say "they know it's being worked on". Of course it is! I agree, With Xmas coming up and the fact that most of the people on here are not in Muslim countries or Israel... I assume the time will go quick. When you get coffin going and then sparky with fuel or seek and destroy (however it stacks) it's a great rush. That FUEL sound really gets you motivated and also nervous! Great game. Hope the wizard modes integrate well.

I think this thread is interesting because it always has everyone almost close to agreeing but slightly not getting the other person's point. For example my issue is with communication. They could do lots of easy things to fix that. one example. Is 4-5 updates. 2 for each of the first 2 years and then a final code. Send me an empty game, send me an update when the time is right and then polish that code for the end of that fiscal year. 2 weeks here or there. Big Deal! But here on this thread it's all semantics. I think that it's obvious Stern can't please everyone. At the same time if you try to please nobody because you can't please everyone then you please none.

More specific to your point is that when Spiderman came out Facebook was there but grandmas weren't on it like they are now. I mean in 2008 what percent of customers used Facebook compared to now? I mean I never liked their page for free toys. I liked their page to see announcements, ask them questions, give and get feedback. Never intended to bash them. Like I said I think most of us agree with at least 50% of what's said. The semantics turn us into bickering morons.

I get a lot of outline drains, but the nudges are very subtle ( I know you don't want to go there ) the key is to hit sparky on the feet and clear the opto. going for the standup between his feet registers two hits I believe. Not worth the risk. I had one shoot back at me virtually the same speed it went at the target. Just try not to be "too accurate" with sparky. Less is more. Seems like most missed ramp shots end up there anyway. FUEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLL

I agree with you and It's probably the best solution. It's going to be hard when a theme/license appeals to someone. Also if Stern doesn't know how to leverage their investments/payroll and all that properly. One full run of a machine with no preorders from customers and half from distributors themselves (because of the lack of interest) They could go under. That being said, I never studied their business, IDK how much leverage they actually have and how competent they are outside of marketing. Could be a great play if most people do this BUT there is a risk though! Agree?

Congrats MR. Amazing accomplishment. This isn't a man-cave trophy it's an arcade game. Intended for use in public places. You might have waited patiently for an extra ball. Hardware and a few minor issues are things that time shows. The only reason to play MET right now is just to practice control. There's no end destination. To them a mystery means 9/10 = 50k, I mean, it's such a great game with so much potential. They sell star trek and mustang? I liked the idea of mustang until I saw that playfield. Same with Star trek. Great game, lots of fun but that playfield is AWFUL. You'd think that a company who scraped pennies for 10 years would use their situation and grow, but nope. They're raking it in until people catch on. That's the point here. Too many complacent people like you are what allows this to happen. This is a unique industry but it's still a business. Imagine you opened a casino and told all your customers the Machines don't pay out yet. We need you to test them for us. That's why I have an attitude. Bringing up WOF?

Mine is in my basement but will most likely be routed this Spring league if the update hits. I have had LOTR and I routed that and sold it to my operator who sold it to a customer.

It's beyond being impatient. How long does it take to get communication? answer = $$$$$$$ We have power. Distributers have power and if we are in a home market as opposed to coin-op generating most of their $$ they need to adapt to that. It's really that simple imho.

When you have inserts that mean nothing. It's really hard to ignore…. All I know is I got 41 or something combos and 86 million on the first game. Is the scoring really easier? Or just a fluke lucky game??? only played 3 and my average score was about 40 million.
