Quoted from Mudflaps:

The more I play Kiss, the more I enjoy it. The code can absolutely improve, but Jesus Christ, the game has 4 multiballs, a wizard mode, hurry-ups, super scoring, etc. Combined with some difficult shots, it's still a ton of fun. Kiss plays kind of like a jacked SS game, but I think we've come to expect more with modern games. Kiss isn't abandoned or forgotten... It's just taking longer than anticipated for a killer update.

Agreed. Not saying Kiss does not deserve an update, but my feeling is that the effort should be put first on WWE. Sales are probably not in the same league but providing a major update for WWE would send a very positive positive signal for future sales - Sten does not forget its buyers even for pins that do not sell well.

Quoted from Cobray:

Say what you want, but it's way too premature to write this game off.

Could not agree more. I see nothing wrong with Kiss layout (perhaps some tweaking required with Gene's head - and I like the Star child area). Artwork is a great hommage to the original Bally version. Kiss is screaming for better code. It would transfigure that pin.

Coming from someone who does not like Kiss (the group) at all.

I think Kiss deserves better code because 1) Layout is good 2) Artwork is nice and a great hommage to the Bally version.
If I had something negative to say about the game it is that the LE/Pre/Pro versions of the cabinet do not seem distinctive enough.
With good code it could be a very good Stern. Coming from someone who is far from a Kiss fan.

I like the artwork and layout of Kiss and would consider getting one

Me too. And I am far from being a fan of the group. But I love the hommage to the Bally version. Artwork is good, layout is fine.
And having the two Kiss pins side by side should be fun, because the original one is interesting to play as well - in a different way of course. And this classic comes with complete code

Friendly reminder: while the mod team understands and share your frustration, please remember we don’t want things to get personal.
This means: please, no personal attack on a given designer or coder working for Stern (or another manufacturer!).

Quoted from Pinfactory2000:

Or to finally give up on and sell to fund a spooky or JJP.

U sure ? (and I am a big Spooky's TNA fan)

If you forget about cities, Kiss is an excellent game with little playfield issues, good artwork and reasonably challenging layout. I also love the hommage to the Bally version.

Current resale value is probably not stellar, and you may have to add $ for a newer stern (with incomplete code, ghosting, etc...) or JJP.
Buying back one if you have regrets won't be so easy, because the game is relatively rare - at least in Europe.

To me, Kiss is one of the undervalued, under appreciated recent Sterns (with Mustang).

Quoted from vireland:

You had me until the Mustang part.

To be fair, I don't know yet Mustang's lasting ability in a small lineup. Only played it on location.
But I'am going to rent one for 2-3 months soon. Will tell more about it after that.
