I've been genuinely enjoying our new KISS Pro. I've made some modifications for my daughters because they are young, but love the game. I adjusted the game settings to add a ball save time after the Lock. It reminded me of the raptor pit on JP. If the ball goes SDTM, you get it back. I then took the instruments down to 4 to collect Ace. Makes the game more enjoyable and collecting the "blinking" members something to shoot for. I think I like the game more for it's nostalgia... It's a juke/pin, so the code doesn't need to be awesome.

Having said all that. Here's some easy fixes...

1) There are certain switches that do not make a sound during game play.
2) Obviously something can be done with the cities. Maybe not so many, if it makes choosing/collecting them too complicated.
3) Needs some meaningful shot or series to collect 2x and 3x, instead of random award.
4) Hopefully a different song during "KISS Army" multiball or "Rock City". If you can get to those wizard levels, it's a more than a little anti-climactic to hear a same song that could be chosen during regular game play.

I'm very entertained by all the KISS threads. I love pinball and I happen to love Stern. I have several of their games, but not only their games. I get torn... I'm not really a complainer (least I don't think I am) so I feel bad about all the negative comments about KISS (or other Stern titles). Just got done playing it last night and had a ton of fun. My goal on three balls is to get all four members flashing and get to KISS Army. Close, but not yet. Having a great time though.

Having voiced my pleasure with the game and Stern, I'm OK with the negative vibe. Hey, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I don't think Stern ignores it when they hear dissatisfaction. If no one complained, we may never have gotten a code update. So great job guys!!! I applaud the efforts. I think the new code is coming, and soon. Thanks for helping make that happen. Honestly this is how the system should work.

As far as April Fools... Everyone who needs to relax...Relax. I enjoyed the Hello Kitty gag and I don't think they spent 3 days working on the gag. I check Stern's website and facebook a couple times daily looking for the new code. Disappointed? Yes. Can I wait? Yes. Will the next code be the final? Probably not...

Quote from the Stern FB page last Thursday...

"Over the next few days and over the weekend we will be play testing the newest KISS pinball code to hopefully be released next week. Cross your fingers it all tests well. It's coming! ‪#‎kisspinball‬ ‪#‎newcode‬"

It says "hopefully... next week". I feel like some are going to be really disappointed. And I feel like some are going to say "it sucks!" not matter how good it will be. Hoping for today, but preparing for not. It'll come when they they think it's ready. Hang in there.

Lighting all the members to blinking, then beating each one to make them solid. When all four members are lit solid, "Rock City" lights... then dump it in the pit to start it.

I'm almost sure then the song is Detroit Rock City, which we can hear during regular game play. I hope the new code has a different song for Rock City, making it an exciting goal to shoot for... Maybe it will be slightly more attainable as well.
