With their toppers being $500 (GOT) for a plastic housing with LED lights and a coil that makes wings go up and down or $400 for just a bunch of LED's in frame (Kiss), it just goes to show how rabid pinball buyers are for stuff.. and Stern knows it. Makes sense that if they can get people excited about overpriced toppers, they'll want the machine to go with it.

Meanwhile, GB has a price increase and no color dmd /lcd.

Exactly. I don't think Stern has any room to make fun of the Kiss code being so late, hanging their customers out there... and then making fun of the situation? Not sure I get this marketing strategy.

Next code is going to make the topper even better!! and hopefully more....

My lawn guy came over and mowed 1/4 of my lawn and told me he'd be back in 3 months, his lawn service is "Stern Landscaping LLC". But hey, I have a sweet looking limited edition lawn, so it's all good.

Does anyone have a code file that I can just upload that already has the original songs added to it? I just don't have time to mess around with this myself and it would be very cool to do.

I guess if I could take the time to learn how to do it it would be better.. but, until then..

Kiss has so much potential... great layout, theme, and it flows great. Too bad it can't get the attention code wise. Seems like another "here we go again" pin. But it will be great once the code is finished, whenever that will be.

I attended Freeplay Florida last weekend and sat in on the Gary Stern presentation. I had to ask him about Kiss code. I mentioned that I have my Kiss machine next to my Metallica and AC/DC machines and that the code is glaringly sparse and in great need of some refinement and added features. The only thing Gary could say is that they "would have 1 more update for Kiss".

That's it. He seemed unapolgetic and seemed like he didn't care.

Meanwhile, the rumor was that there was a Batman LE at the show still in the box, but that the game is not ready for reveal because of code... And specifically, Lyman was working on code. So there ya go, the coder we need for Kiss is tied up coding new games, so the chances of getting Kiss done anytime soon seems unlikely.

It did? Kiss code will most likely be polished if not finished soon, go ahead and wait the 2 years for Aerosmith code to evolve!!

If you're moving Kiss right now for Aerosmith, you're just putting yourself at the mercy of Stern Code development once again and will be at the back of the line!! According to Stern, Kiss will have a major update soon.

I have a Kiss LE, and I won't be getting rid of it for anything... have plenty of games to play and will wait it out. The code WILL come and it has serious potential to be awesome, the flow and shots on this game are great IMO unlike other games out there.

I'll admit that I like getting newly released pins and being in the excitement of having the new theme, but that's lost it luster with me also because of getting burned on code. I'm sticking it out with Kiss right now to see what Stern does, like many here. I'm not going to get burned again.

Oh come on! Have you ever played AC/DC? The game has friggin rules for what targets you hit based on if the song was played on a certain tour they did. And we're supposed to believe that on Kiss, selecting a city is just so we can hear a call out?

Stern has abandoned the code on Kiss and we all know it, speculating that the cities are fine they way they are is just ridiculous.

I really don't care about specifics of the code being missing, IE, cities, I just want more depth and excitement like you get out of other Stern music pins (AC/DC and Metallica)... there is just something missing from this game and it feels like it was taken to a point of being just acceptable and then abandoned.

Does the game do well on location? Yep. It's good enough for that. And that's probably the big reason Stern hasn't done anything more at this point (in my humble opinion).

George Gomez spoke about Kiss code at the last TPF- Said the cities selection was not intended to be a specific coded thing, only that it would be cool to announce a different city as the player saw fit. He said that they "maybe" will do something with it in the future.

He also discussed Lonnie doing the code, and was adamant that the reason the code hadn't been advanced is because Stern has had Lonnie assigned to other things.

It has been mentioned several times by Stern that a code update will be coming, it's just a matter of "when". I think the layout plays great (as do all Borg games IMO) and the shots are satisfying, and a code tweak would really push this game far. It's just going to take patience to get the update, but I'm confident it will be good.

I just sold my Kiss, I owned it since launch, and I'll probably regret selling it once the new code drops. But I needed space and cash and I've sold many good/great games because of that.
