Lots of scoring bugs (huge ones), and missing callouts and animations left and right on GOT. That doesn't change the fact it's one of the best pins I've ever played and it will never leave. I played one, loved it, bought it. I have no hopes for any code updates because the game was worth owning as is. You'll save yourself a lot of headache if you do this in the future.

That's a good way to look at things and it makes sense if you like a game while the code is in abit of an infant state then buy it, if the code can only get better its then a bonus if/when it does.

BTW chuck what do you love so much about GOT? Reason I ask is I have still yet to get my hands on one so curious to know your thoughts, as I have been looking at Kiss & GOT.

The seemingly endless scoring strategies. Cannot really experience them until you own it. There is so many stacks, risk reward setups, etc. It's great. Its weak in the art department, but gameplay is fantastic. You might beat the iron throne way quicker than getting to Last man standing on TWD, but the stuff you can do on the way is great. People that are getting insanely high scores on GOT are pulling off some of the most satisfying setups and stacks in pinball imo. Once you understand how all the multipliers work and how to add them to cashing in modes and multiballs it becomes a long term keeper in my book.

Btw I am in no way saying that GOT holds a candle to TWD, but it's holds its own and then some.

I played Elvis a lot. There you had to go through his top 10 countdown.

If they incorporated the cities you could do a tour idea/theme, so no i don't think it would be hard. Every band has stories and themes that run unique to that band that you could use to develop a story with. But it takes more time to develope that so I don't see Stern doing this especially givin their current coding practices.

4900 for a Pro is the best I have noticed in the last few days.

Best I've personally done deals in the high 5's for a Premium and $6050 for an LE, but prices have softened over the last year, so may be possible to negotiate lower.

Regardless of what people whine about here, it's a great "mindless fun" pin, and earns great on location. The LE cabinet is beautiful, too. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it.

Hard to see how you'd get hurt much buying in at this level.

I bought my NIB KISS LE from JJ in February and love it. Looks awesome, plays great, NO BS PF issues. Everything worked out of the box. At what I paid I have zero resale fears. Now I just wish my MET was a 2015...

Let's be real. The current code is not bad. It just needs a few big fixes and lets integrate the cities with a US tour/ world tour mode. Real simple. No need for a big overhaul. But please add in the call out "you wanted the best. You got the best..." The game deserves that at least. It's a staple of EVERY Kiss concert for crying out loud.

I am just an average player but played 3 games today and hit 300 mil on my first game. Not my GC score but a good game. Have been close to Rock City several times so gonna get there eventually. If I am that close to getting to the final wizard mode maybe it does need to be deeper. Maybe adding tour modes could add that extra depth. The only reason I say that is compared to Metallica you have to complete 4 CIU's to get to EOTL . The only complaint is why put something in a game if they are not gonna add rules for it.

But just to be clear I enjoy Kiss so anyone that thinks I am one of these whiney MFrs you are wrong. A couple simple things is really all it needs

the animations are not very good also. game itself looks awesome but still needs fine tuning.

Due to poor Administration and overzealousness in protecing their commercial interests, their userbase participation rate diversity level has been stagnating for a number of years which would go a long way to explaining the limited technical abilities on display.

Most people with any type of long term experience in pinball in Australia either aren't members there or if they are won't contribute publicly for the reasons explained as above.

Or they simply post to forums like pinside where the diversified userbase and knowledge levels are superior.

I haven't seen it reported anywhere ... which is surprising ... but at the Stern TPF seminar, GG was asked about the KISS code update.

He said it was coming (or words to that effect) and then went out of his way to bring up the Cities and how the forums thought they were unfinished code.

He stressed that the Cities were only ever supposed to be "personalisation" for a player (ie change the call outs WELCOME CHICAGO! Etc) and were never going to do anything but that. Which is what I said months ago.

Just another case of the internet grabbing an idea and running with it, I guess. Which has ultimately damaged the reputation of an otherwise solid enough game, and hit each of you in the pocket of you want to sell the game.

There was a time when people expected to lose $500-1000 for opening the box on a NIB game. Obviously KISS is holding its value and the "Kiss Kode Sucks Selloff" is just a figment of the pinmagination.

Knowing a HUO kiss is likely to have rarely been played and has had any NIB issues dialed in helps...The promise of a 'major code update' also plays a role I think.

I think KISS is a fine game and it's complete and I don't understand the endless complaints. And I'd love to buy one, at the allegedly "cheap panic selloff price" i keep hearing about. So somebody hook a latent kisstard up!

I don't buy that the cities were never intended to do anything- Rock City is the final wizard mode and has its own insert. With that said i really don't care that much if they are just pulled from the game. "As is" Kiss is a good game, with some setting tweaks i think its a great game, with a code update it could be a masterpiece. Regarding pricing- all the negative code talk killed additional production runs of Kiss. There will be limited supply of them on the secondary market which means they are going to hold their value well over time. My biggest wish is that Stern would just come out and tell us what their intentions are with the code. If its done- so be it.
