Does anyone know where the A12-P5 connection is supposed to connect to on my Gottlieb Black Hole?

The connector A12-P5 and A12-J5 are connected, but the A12-P5 side of the wire (with the round screw terminal) is not connected to anything.

I think it goes to the metal lock frame on the inside left of the backbox

Yep. it goes to the screw on the bracket that holds the lock in place.
