My line is a certain amount per month - not per pin.
Took me some time to save for Wooly.
Less for Predator
$10K, but I'd only pay that for a Star Wars with a signed translite...but seriously, as long as I've got the cash, the line is the point at which I'm confident I can sell later for about what I paid. Having said that, it's still relative to how much I like the game. I'd be happy with a $500 loss if it means I get to own Funhouse for three years. Making a $200 profit on South Park? I'll pass.
Quoted from daddyxxx:I think 6gs range is max for me,how about you?
Same for me. That is what has kept me in the, "gently used" huo market. I got a couple Luci's for under 6k, then PM for 4k, Shadow for 3k then the rest are c-listers (mostly data east) under 2k each. I do not foresee a nib ever in my future...just out of reach financially
Depends on the game and how bad I want it. It would have to be one amazing game to get me over $6000, though. It's not a matter of what I can afford. It's just that I can get two great games instead of just one.
If there was a game I really wanted, I don't think I would put a limit on it. My Metallica Refinery Edition is my most expensive pin, but if another pin could match or beat that in fun, I would be willing to pay the same or more. I won't spend a lot of money for conductibility, so I will never be buying a BBB or one of those type games, but I would spend that much on a game I really like playing.
I drew the line at the $6500 I paid for WOZLE and swore I would have nothing but JJP games after that, but Jack's pricing increases on TH sure changed that. He priced me right out of his future games. But if Steve Richie does a new Star Wars......DOH!
