We don't allow coaching at all and everyone has big boy pants. They just don't need their hands held.
If players are skilled enough to effectively use the strategy others provide they should be coming up with it themselves.

Quoted from TheLaw:Yeah you got a couple of things going on here that generally get lumped into 1 thing on Pinside (although I agree in reality they can be as well).
If you're not having any fun then I totally agree there is no point to being in a league. Nobody wants to be surrounded by mopey sad sacks that are just assholes; as with any situation in life.
What I don't have a problem with is getting angry for a shitty ball and maybe roughing up a game a bit; not a big deal.
Of course having said that, it sounds like your examples are home leagues, which totally changed the dynamic of the entire thing. A lot of these issues can be 'player' vs 'collector' treatment of machines, and when you're in someone's house it can get touchy.
With all the diaper rubbing these days I could never be in a home league.
Pretty sure operators love people rage tilting their games. Smh.
I run a home league and if a player cannot control themselves enough to not
rage on a machine then they are not welcome. It's not about babying a game as much as it it showing the owner some respect. With games of varying era and lineage not all games are up to the abuse you see "acceptable" on location. Aggro neck vein popping rage players are as bad as mopey collectors that threat their games with care.
