Stripped, cleaned, waxed and reassembled my DESW with a new rubber kit.

Looking at the manual, it calls for a "A) Bumper Post 545-5009-00". It just a typical post rubber, but slightly shorter.. I didn't find anything in the machine that matches it, though. I can't even find an "A" on the manual diagram. I don't know where this thing goes.

Any clues?

Must resist urge to make crude joke.....................

Hopefully someone knows where it goes ON THE GAME.

Come on he's begging for it . His avatar is "CHEEZYWIZ"

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Heh. I still haven't figured out where that rubber goes.

If I adjust the right outlane post to the bottom setting, it leaves a bit of a gap between the post and the spot targets.. Looks a bit larger than any gap should be on a pinball machine. I wonder if the game came with an extra post to fill the top hole and that's what the shorter rubber is for.

If you look at the list you will see that there is no number of the amount so I would assume that it is not needed. All the other ones have the number required after the description ( ).

HaHa! I was certain there was going to be a pic of a condom.....

Never trust a rubber diagram, or the amount of rubbers shipped in a kit.

Good point. I see (1) listed elsewhere, so perhaps there is no A rubber after all. Maybe the guy that put my kit together just assumed there was (1) A.

In other news.. WTS 1 medium height post rubber.

"Where do I put this rubber?"

That's what she said.

Noob question here.. this was my first shop job. I stripped the playfield, cleaned everything with Novus 2 & 1, two coats of carnauba wax, replaced all the rubbers, reassembled, added new balls.

I've never played a machine with more ball english before. Ball is constantly bouncing the opposite of the direction I expect or reversing directions as it rolls because it's spinning so much. Makes the game much more lively and exciting for sure.

Not really used to seeing this.. I'm sure partly because the local routed machines are dirty and aren't always maintained very well. Just curious if it's normal to see this right after a wax.. and how long will it last?

Ramp shot is much easier to hit now — less friction is good.

Very normal. Ball seems to spin a lot more so you can watch it bump straight off the posts and down the outlines. Maybe that's just me....

Marcos is still sending out this part, seems bizarre it wouldn’t go anywhere. I know 1 of the 5 goes on the R2 thin shaft, but there is a thick shaft there as well. Yeah I said it, R2 has a thick shaft that might need a thick rubber. What? So where does it go!
