Quoted from Bublehead:Maybe O-din got tired of getting hit in the balls too often.
@Forceflow/rest of Pinside staff...
It’s Christmastime dudes, cut ol’ Spicoli a little slack.

And since it’s almost Christmas,
Quoted from Gryszzz:I want that shirt.
We'll start the bidding at $20.
Good call Gryszzz!
I’ll be glad to help in any way to get O-din’s now infamous wardrobe up on the auction block for charity.
If Bryan_Kelly wants to handle another auction for JDRF, I’ll be happy to mail the ENTIRE outfit (washed or unwashed, your choice!) to the highest bidder as well as comp O-din some new threads* to replace his old ones.
*Pending O-Din’s approval of course.
Edit:
Yup, just got off the phone with O-din and we are greenlit for outfit. Sandals and all!
Yup, not a typo.
Would you spell it/say it correctly too after having two big bottles of Jack in front of your face?
It was actually a real quote by Spicoli himself one late night/early morning after we were drunkenly playing his old cherry STTNG.
Naturally, when O-Din drinks, (or does anything for that matter...) he always takes it to the Supreme!
Quoted from Pinball-is-great:Who names a town Placenta? ...and why live in a town called Placenta even if it is an important organ thingy?
Pla-cen-ti-a
Because it’s a “pleasant place to live”, eating kick-ass Mexican food and relaxing whilst ogling our majestic red white and blue “Noone Lagoon” in the sky.
Quoted from Pinball-is-great:I guess rush-hour traffic may get a bit hectic sometimes.
Nah,
Only during Tamale Festival...

Quoted from Cheddar:a man needs a date of this festival!
Yup, was supposed to be the 5th but unfortunately it was FINALLY raining the heavy stuff here.
They moved it to the 13th instead.
It’s usually around the first week of December.
If you’d like to try for it next year (or anyone else) hit me up!
Just be sure to pack your stretchiest stretchy pants though.
Quoted from iceman44:Nimble get over there and make him a little chili and get him back in the game please!
Even my patented chicken taquito nacho SUPREME bowl couldn’t budge ol’ Spicoli this time around.

His exact-ish words Ice were:
I’ll cOnSiDeR coming back if/when the “Mod Squad” that flagged my WTB Thunderbird ad issue me an apology, restore said legit WTB Thunderbird ad and or, the Chargers win the Super Bowl...whichever comes first!
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Better start rooting for the Chargers o-din fans.
And if that fails...
Me and the Chef have got a plan B!
Quoted from Shapeshifter:It was a joke thread - certainly wasn't a serious WTB the Williams version!
Yes, it was indeed the Williams singularly spelled version of “Thunderbird.”
He linked it the same as he did for Struggle Buggies, Eager Beaver, Fun House, etc...
O-din was interested in that 1954 specific game before Homepin’s Tirdbirds ever hit the Pinside gossip circle. He liked the artwork, as well as the layout.
Williams woodrails just play snappy and awesome, they also have funky layouts that Gottlieb never bothered to try.
Pinky is one of my favorites for example.
I’m actually heading over to take him out for some of Fullerton’s finest fare in a few minutes; I’ll be sure to tell him Pinside is doing just fine without him.
Quoted from DCRand:I’m actually heading over to take him out for some of Fullerton’s finest fare in a few minutes
Hey, I did the very same thing last night!
That’s super nice of you to do the same today DCRand!
Where are you guys going to eat?
Are you hittin’ up Naugles, or is ol’ Spidey in the mood for some Pup ‘N’ Taco after his late night bender?
Maybe I can meet up with you guys...
Quoted from vicjw66:Are you saying there is a pup n taco still around?
Nah,
Just putting it out there (ala Ben Heck’s will it into existence!) so we can either get a Pup ‘N’ Taco pinball machine, or an ACTUAL Pup ‘N’ Taco we can call home again.
Maybe Christian Z from Naugles isn’t too busy and wants to resurrect that nostalgialicious franchise too?
Fingers crossed!
Fun fact:
O-din used to work at our local Pup ‘N’ Taco off of Lemon and Commonwealth when he was a teen.
Good thing they didn’t have Yelp reviews back then!
Quoted from Who-Dey:So he will be back but he cant be himself. Thats great news and it SUCKS at the same time.
I used to pepper the forums with boob pics or dumb pics when things got heated.
Some people liked it, some didn’t.
Pinside eventually cracked down on the fun.
You either adapt, or find somewhere else to go.
I ended up adapting.
As boring as that is, you have to respect the other members as well as Robin’s wishes at the end of the day...
Right Salma?
“Sí, así es.”
