I had a spare of this very lamp board, and someone bought it from me last year. Thought it was strange to say the least.

When the board is properly screwed down, the lower "R" light doesn't work. If you slightly flex the board, it works. For now, I have stuck a washer between the middle spacer and the playfield. It changes the tork just enough so that the light works (thank you EchoVictor).
I agree. Any pin that comes in here gets the headers on the lamp boards resoldered. Sometimes, they get 'dead spots' in the pad where the bulb makes contact once twisted in. That part of the board can be built up with a little solder, too.
Just heat the pin up, flow a little solder in, and then clean the connector with an acid brush and a little 91% or greater rubbing alcohol (or flux remover) and give it a couple minutes to air dry.

Unfortunately, this goes beyond the scope of my comfort zone. Does anyone have a link to a good video which shows how to reflow the solder on header pins?
I need a video camera so I can start filming this stuff for my blog. I'd be glad to share, but I don't have a video camera!

Just get some solder out, heat the joint, and flow new solder onto the joint, not the iron. Go for it!
