I think they should announce parting ways with mirpoo, so people can start buying their beautiful machines again.
Quoted from TheLaw:And shipping right away, for cheaper, with better quality, and art, and complete code!
A festivus miracle
Why is it some kind of object with complete code?
I would Think an ever evolving, changing or addded on variations would be the way to go with modern pinball?
Take beatles for example, buyable upgrades with new songs and new play-modes.
Once you get bored of a game, you can buy complete new rulesets and animations.
Beeing able on upstart to choose hard-mode or easy.
You want to play as human or t-rex?
Etc etc etc.
Quoted from TheLaw:1. Buying add one for pinball is the worst idea possible.
2. It takes them years to finish code, now you trust them to make multiple versions of the same machine?
Why just they?
I just think it's to much money, not to have that flexibility and renewal potential.
Ruleset, sound and animation is a big part of lastability, and all three are changable, so why not prolonger and blow new life into stale and very expensive toys?
Quoted from Adipocere:The problem is that the "add ons" will very quickly just be features they cut out of the game as intended that they then sell you for more money. The video game industry has done this for years. We need to expect more (and longer support) for the existing expensive games we are buying, not encouraging new ways to pay more for less.
I agree and i guess my Point got lost somewhere. My Point wasn´t that code should be some kind of cash cow for the Company, but rather the aspect of renewing and the ability to keep the game fresh.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:If JJP wants to sell their games in higher volume and actually make a profit they probably need to make more games like Wonka rather then Pirates.
I think they need to make more games like pirates, we allready have a company making barren games.
I'd rather pay a 1k more and get the magic.
I think they will be buzy making 2500 more gnr and if europe opens up, thats another 1500 maschines.
Then they have to make 2k more potc.
Then next title is up.
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:I think they’re done with POTC. But yes they’ll be making GnR for a while.
I hope not. But maybe it's wise to keep potc for a rainy day. Use stern vault strategy.
A game flops, then vault potc and the production keeps going.
Quoted from Vitty:Will 2021 finally be a year they announce more than one game!? We can only hope!
Lets hope they will anounce one game. If gnr continues to sell, they will keep prodution up the whole year.
If they make fifty of thoose beauties a week and sell 5000, which seems possible.
Thats work for the next 100 weeks.
Quoted from AMSNL:Ehmmm and yes MIRCO is doing the playfields again
Then it really doesnt matter wich theme it is.
Easy pass.
Quoted from JohnTTwo:Warriors #1
Not to long ago stern released rush, isnt that enough?
I want jjp to do a widebody loaded coco.
Coco is awesome. Great music, scenes, story etc etc.
