If they were smart, they'd start off talking about the companies history including the difficulties/challenges they've faced especially the playfield issues (tell the public what the actual problem was) and how they've since fixed the issue and how they plan on supporting those NIB buyers who (might) be affected. I feel like their customer service/reputation has taken a real beating. They need to build up consumer confidence and THEN announce the next title.
I don't personally know too many people who are pro JJP anymore. In fact they've sworn off buying NIB across the board not to mention the couple OPs I know have talked about the ridiculous amount of service calls they've had to deal with and are done buying this brand because of it.

Why do these companies keep secrets? Think about it. If you know for a fact that JJP is releasing title "X" and you like so many others have a limited budget, you're not likely going to buy a Stern product because you know what's eventually coming to fruition. Now reverse the company names - same scenario no bias here. But why not provide an annual road map? I seriously don't think it would hurt business. The buzz it would create, the ideas the community could provide .... I literally see no downside.

    Quoted from DaveB:

#3 - New PoTC run so they don’t go out of business from the Elton John theme pick.

Going on record (Internet is forever) I severely doubt this will ever get remade for two reasons. They all but abandoned the code and the most important piece is it was a support nightmare for them (based off the official thread). Maybe Lloyd could comment on it, but I've never seen the guy bash a title which makes him awesome. The warranties are well expired and now JJP has no liability/responsibility. I don't see them wanting to re-open Pandoras box.

And a legal side question - I've been working with AI voice replication. It's not perfect but damned if it can't be super close! Would JJP (or any manny for that matter) be under any legal obligation if they were to use AI for call outs instead voice actors? I don't see why they would be. If there was a way like there is with pinsound to add your own audio I would scramble/clamor for a POTC. I wasn't a fan of the voice actors (or the clear coat debale lol).
