I LOVE at least two of those themes but I also wonder if none of them have the potential mass appeal of say an Elton John pin (assuming that is one of the next JJP pins). That type of pin can bring in people from outside the hobby in the same way that a Toy Story could. Like GNR or not, the assets on that game are insane and it’s their best selling game of all time.
JJP rules seem made more for pinball fans than people outside the hobby. I don't mind broad appeal themes, but I'm not sure Godfather falls in that category. Let's try to get a combination of a great theme, great game, AND insanely cool assets and hit a home run.
Out of that list, I'd love to see Big Trouble in Little China or Blues Brothers, which is probably the best theme for a "music pin" I've seen yet as it also has a storyline to go with it.
They did hit the home run with GNR. The rules aren't exclusive...
I'm that guy that's outside the hobby. The code made it playable for me instantly as well as I continue to grow into it as I learn both the game, strategy, and practice pinball shots.
My first and only pin and my discovery of pinside while waiting 11 months for it to ship. Had it one year now, still love it and got a lotta runway left.
I'm sure JJP will keep rocking titles but there's a perfect storm with GNR that will be imitated but never replicated.

Not a fan of that list. And if anyone bothers to license those, I hope Stern makes them so I won't feel the need to buy it.

Nice! For me the entrance to the hobby occurred with Big Lebowski. When I heard about that title, I joined pinside and eventually bought that machine.
I would love to see a Futurama theme, I’m sure somebody will do it. I just hope it’s down right. There’s a lot of good content to work with. They can do a death by snu snu multiball…that would be awesome.

Futurama is one of the handful of games I would have to get . You have to have a mode where Fry drinks 100 coffees .

How cool would it be if JJP were to create their version of Indiana Jones to coincide with the release of Indians Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Given the beauty of Pirates, I can only imagine how stunning an IJ5 could be.

I'll believe it when I see it.
I think they go down some because this last rate increase was way bigger than it should have been. TS4 should have been a game that could have been their best seller to date, but the price increase mixed with lack of magic on the playfield ruined it. I can’t imagine they thought CE models would still be available nib at distributors, so I think it was a wake up call.

Probably Woz due to timeframe of sales, but definitely gnr was the biggest hit out the gate. Remember, they initially lowered the gnr price from wonka prices, and eventually bumped it back up. Just shows they can and may have to adjust prices.

Godfather is my favorite movie...but who knows what we may get?

Totally get it .
Looks like they're going with less mechs these days , but GNR showed you don't need a lot of mechs for a good game .
Pity the price doesn't reflect that .
It will be interesting to see what happens .
