I have an EATPM which I plan on keeping in my collection and my son would love to have it one day... So my question is, when should you replace or restore a playfield? The reason why I'm asking is I see CPR is doing a run on these and I wasn't sure if it's worth swapping out because mine is in descent shape at the moment but I'm looking at the long term picture. There is wear around the Bat lanes, shooter lane and the eject holes, plus there is some bubbling on the mylar over a few inserts.

Thank you!

I would consider buying and storing the new playfield. Replace it when you have time and interest. The clear coat would be nicer than the Mylar. I have to believe that you could always find a taker for your old PF.

I would love to have that game.

I agree with Platy.

Pick up a new playfield. As you may have noticed, many playfields only get a single run, and then no more are ever produced.

Put the playfield away (or you could even get it clearcoated).

One day when you get fired from work, do your swap.

You can always sell your old playfield for $150 to help offset the cost of the new one too.

If you lose interest in ancient pins once the P3 comes out, you could still sell the NIB playfield together or separate from your game.

LOL! That's too funny... (hopefully it won't go down that way)

What's P3? Something I should know about?

Thanks you two, sort of what I was thing

I agree with the other two posters. If a repro is available - pick it up and hang onto it.

If one isn't available, then stance would be keep an eye on it and restore it before it gets too bad.

Ain't that the truth.

Yes, P3 is the coolest innovation in pinball since flippers.

Ok, thanks all, I'm going to preorder the PF.

This P3 stuff looks interesting, after looking at that video I searched them out and found their website....

To me this is like a hybrid of Pinball 2000 and Virtual Pinball, which could be very cool but time will tell. I bet with all the people making mods or one of a kind machines are licking their chops. BTW, those flipper and sling mechs look crazy.
