I don't understand a lot of hobbies. Some folks just collect stuff and put their collectables on the walls or in display cases. They just collect dust.

I have a lot of things to do in the "game room". I keep my pinball machines on, and only talk about the machines when folks ask about them. Some folks walk on by, and others don't want to know the rules but just like to flail away. 
Some guests would rather watch a game on the TV, listen to music, drink a beer, play pop-a-shot, play poker, or watch a movie in the theater. I'm trying to cover all the basic "needs".
