There is a reason you don't see many for sale. It's not a game that is usually on the copping block when owners need to sell off something. Met is just an awesome game. I was on the fence about buying my LOTR 2 years ago. the more I hunted the more prices went up. I found a nice HOU that was in driving distance and bought it. Since then prices went up by a grand. Same with my MET Pro. After a year of hunting I picked one up for a good price (only because of the mods). I could have bought a NIB for a few hundred more.
One thing I noticed is each time a run would get close to its end, prices would go up in anticipation of it being the last run. Stern would announce an additional run and prices would level off. One thing I can say is when they do finally pull the plug on MET it is only going to go up in price. Sure you might have a few people selling their MET to buy the next latest and greatest thing but they won't be cheap.
