Quoted from pinballslave:AC/DC maybe, but let's just look at some 'features' on TRON:
Side railes fixed on with cross-head screws.
Ball guides tarnished from new.
DMD graphics blurry film clips.
Poorly balanced spinning disk as noisy as hell.
RE-hashed playfield layout (Funhouse, Congo, Tommy....).
Shallow rules.
Badly positioned 'U' target making GEM shot so hard it's hard to believe it's not a design flaw.
Lane to right of Flynn's arcade drops ball smack in middle of right return lane divider resulting in outlane drains or SDTM off the top of the right sling.
Almost no toys.
Yes, it's a cool theme and has Daft Punk music... but the cheapness factor overides these IMHO.
How dare you say the emperor has no clothes?
I have also been surprised at all the love Tron gets. I had the opportunity to play the LE alongside a premium AC/DC and Tron, though a step forward for Stern at the time, felt bare, a little clunky and shallow to me, in comparison.
