My contestants don't jump. Pictured here is not connected. But I can't find where it goes. The brown wires seem to like the ones that go to the contestants coils. Anyone with a WOF can tell me what this connection goes to?

Just guessing, since I am not at home right now. The contestant coils use low power +20VDC, a brown wire. You can look for the brown wire attached to one side of any of the small contestestant coils and follow it back - you should find the connector somewhere nearby if I am correct.

If you are still stuck PM me later and will pull up my playfield to get a look.
BTW, none of my contestant coils worked but it was because the fine wires on the coil lugs were broken from all the vibration, so you might take a meter the coil lugs to check for open coils.

This would be power for contestant jump.

The one you are looking at isn't connected to anything.

Yeah, those are connected. Not sure why nothing is happening. The flashers work but not the coils.

Most likely those coil wires are broken. Take a DMM and measure across the lugs for low coil ohms. Should be around 8.8 ohms - if you don't measure anything or really high the coil is open. You can also take apart the mech and look at the top of the coil lugs where the fine coil wires attach. You'll probably find the plastic cracked as well as the wires.

These can be fixed in a pinch if you don't want to replace the coils or while waiting to get them. I soldered the wires back on to the tabs and then coated the whole plastic piece with a generous amount of hot melt glue. Not exactly beautiful but holds up well.
