I got to thinking about a best-in-breed collection for each era of pinball. I have discovered that I really love those mid to late 80's alpha/numeric display games. While depth and code was somewhat limited due the constraints of the electronics at that time, but in many respects, it was those limitations that forced the designers to push the creative process just a bit further in turn producing a series of really fun, magical "it" factor games which took them from ordinary to really special. So what would my ultimate collection of that particular era include? I'm limited on space in my pinball cave so the optimal number of games that fits is 7. So try to keep your list to 7 games; however, honorable mentions are encouraged My listing would be as follows:
Taxi
Diner
High Speed
Earthshaker
Whirlwind
Funhouse
F-14 Tomcat
honorable mentions: Bride of Pinbot, Cyclone, Elvira and the Party Monsters, Banzai Run, Swords of Fury
