Besides the 6:30pm time slot on a Friday night, with a cold beverage within arms reach (but of course, not on the pinball glass!) what's the best time of day to play? For scoring - it's early morning with coffee. As I always have my best scores before sun up and sometimes don't even need a second game, moving from machine to machine. For stress relief - lunch time as I work from home. Worst time - anytime someone's trying to talk to you while you play or maybe when my kids get too close and for a split second, pin your flipper hand on the machine side...

After the wife and kids are in bed, and all of my stupid prime time tv shows are done. Then I go down and play 5 games or so before going to bed myself

Night time. Only light source is the glow of your machine!

To use a saying normally applied to fishing.......
The best time to play pinball is when you have the time to play pinball.

Yup, anytime I am not in a rush.

Everyday, late afternoon just before the wifey dishes up I'll have a quick few games. Best light just before it gets dark enough to put lights on. I find that I need some additional lighting to get the best results. I know this can be fixed by installing a dimming system. I just haven't gotten to it yet...

The evening is my favorite time to play.

For me, there is nothing like coming home from a long days work, and flipping that switch! Seeing the pinball machine come to life! Forgetting about the day, and enjoying that little silver ball!

Its one of those very few times that I make time for pinball.

I never play, just spend all my time fixing or on the forum

It just occurred to me that I've never actually played pinball in the morning before as all I've had is location play. Too bad there's no coffeeshop around with one. That seems like it would be quite delightful.

Saturday early morning. No ones up but me and the dog

Wakin' and bakin' ! Early morning coffee pinball is best time for high scores/long ball times. But there is something magical about playing at night, surrounded by the pins, light shows going

What rommy said sums it up for me! Early morning I enjoy one machine but at night they all come on and the as the lights illuminate the room...well it just leaves me in awe. Magical.

Tron can only be fully appreciated at night in the pitch black, when it is just you and Clu (and hopefully a few buddies). Other than Tron, any time I can which is usually in the evenings.
