    Quoted from Sinistarrett:

96 with a heat index of 113 here in NW Florida today. Worked most of the day on an uncovered 3rd floor balcony deck, it was brutal. And its only gonna get hotter.

Not so nice in Niceville is it?

    Quoted from mcluvin:

No shit! That’s just like being in an oven. Add high humidity and you are in an oven sweating your ass off and feel like you are trying to breathe underwater.

    Or Florida

    Quoted from rx3:

55 Fahrenheit here in Bay Area. Doesn't get much colder than that during the day in the dead of winter. Move here if you want some of the best weather in the world and want to live in a basic 4 bedroom home on a small lot for $2 Million.

    No thanks.

    Quoted from rx3:

I said the same thing in 1998 when I was looking for a house here and found they were going for $375k. I said, "no way no thanks".
I finally bit the bullet and bought the house. Wife and I were so nervous about such a high price purchase. Now in 2024 it's paid off and wish we would have bought more.
No bragging intended, just trying to show you the potential here in the Bay Area if you invest in real estate. You'll just have to tolerate the politics. That's a whole different story, but to me, worth it.

I get it, we lived in San Diego for a few years in the 70's and it was paradise. We're from the east coast and love the change of seasons.
Our house has been paid off too, but I'm not sure if it's worth 375. It's no mansion, but it's no dump either. Cost of living just seems extreme in Ca.

The Mama's and Pappas song "California dreaming" is always fitting this time of year.
