It's 5 degrees here in Maine this afternoon, with wind chill at -30 degrees. Got 18 inches of snow on Christmas day, and with this weather, it isn't going anywhere soon.

So is it 'pinball weather' where you are at?

15 degrees here in Cincinnati now but slated to drop into the negative over night.

    #3 6 years ago

12 in Ohio, 0 wind chill. Going down to 7 degrees tonight.

6F in the little town of Maine, NY.

Not supposed to get above 20F for the next 10 days... and most of those days are in the single digits.

Just warmed up to 3 above!

That makes 13 and 6" seem not too bad here in Upstate N.Y.

It's a sweltering 74 degrees right now in Naples, FL

I've got a fella that works here at my golf course that spends the winter in Naples, working at a golf course there.

He will be the first to admit that he's a horrible pinball player. Last year I had him listing some golf equipment on eBay for me, and I told him that he had to take a break every hour and play one game of pinball. His breaks ended up being less than two minutes most of the time.

Brisk 62 in Daytona on my way to play tennis may have to bundle up with a sweat shirt. Stay warm inside the game room friends to the north.

Ouch! Makes me shiver just THINKING about how frickin cold that is. Holy smokes!

    #17 6 years ago

It's 44 here right now where I am, but the high tomorrow is only 42.

That sounds like the tropics compared to some of you all.

    #18 6 years ago

37°F outside Portland, OR at 15:20.

Perhaps off-topic, but can someone remind me what the shortcut is for the degree symbol? I have forgotten about twenty times and always end up copy/pasting it from elsewhere.

(Rereading the posts so far, i saw no one else has typed one either, so assume i am barking up the wrong figurative tree and therefore have just googled it: option+shift+8 on macs for any other applers who wanted a reminder.)

Spoilers, I have something to complain aboot

It's 3° here. This is not "the actual" temp but the "real feel" temp factoring in wind chill down from 5° . So I guess my issue is why would a care what any other temp is besides what it feel like on my body?
Other than say 32° or something

    EDIT: alt+248 on PC

Warming up to the low 40's here in Seattle...Had a white Christmas which is pretty rare for us. I worked on the Trans Alaskan Pipeline back in the 70's...after living in a mild Seattle all my life, I flew into Prudhoe Bay in February....59 below zero with chill factor 95 below....uh, no thanks! Like being on another planet!

Maybe no one is interested in this, but here in Germany it's +3 Celsius and around Midnight.

    #41 6 years ago

    61 and sunny

    #42 6 years ago

7 degrees (F) and the wind chill is -11.

Forecasted to get up to 21 tomorrow, and talk of snow for Friday.

Luckily, I just got my first 3D printer and set it up in the same room as my pinball machines. As long as old man winter doesn’t A: knock my power out (I do have a generator just in case) and B: he doesn’t stop UPS from delivering some upgrade parts for my new printer...I’ll be fine for the next couple of months.

    #43 6 years ago

It's down to 71 now and dropping fast. Brrrrrr.
