I once found fully working flippers inside a pinball I bought.. strangest thing, usually have to immediately rebuild them.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:Most memorable ones for me so far have been
3) Perverted money. Coins with sex acts on them. At first I thought them rare currency from Greece or somewhere but no just dirty coins.
Pictures, or it didn't happen.
Quoted from Bribo13:I brought home a Bally On Beam several weeks ago and all over the bottom board were a bunch ( 46 ) of silver dimes .
I found this a bit odd not the money part but the Silver dimes .
This is a 1969 machine and they stopped issuing silver dimes in 1964 . Were silver coins still in circulation and being used in the late 60's and early 1970's
Is this an unusual occurrence or have others found similar things .

I picked up a Vendo 44 Coke machine from a Phillips 66 gas station that hadnt been open since 1960.
The coin changer was full of silver dimes, buffalo nickles and the coin box had a lot of old quarters. The sodas sold for 10 cents a bottle but the coin mech took quarters. The newest coin was 1958.
Animals had chewed off the line cord. I put a new cord, plugged it in and it was super cold in 10 mins. Thermostat worked perfectly.
I guess that a 1/5 HP compressor is plenty for a tiny machine in the direct sunlight.

Looks pretty good for an original unrestored version.

IMHO it looks too good for a seller with (0) feedback - maybe that's why I miss out on all the bargains.
Quoted from Tres:Found a set of glasses in the back of the cabinet of my STLE. Can't be from the original owner because she was a 90 year old grandma. Might belong to someone at Stern
Hold on to them you might need them later in life...
I found a large amount of money, but it was mine, and I dont know where its from our how it got there...

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:I found a bunch of Green Cash in a game today!
Funny thing is it was my cash, and I forgot I stashed it in a game and didnt know it was missing!

Couple more months and another one of your machines will be due to pay out!
I once picked up a Kiddie Horse Ride the had over $50.00 in quarters,
but in another machine (Farfella) there was more, much more. Maybe too
much to believe..

That photo was just the tip of the iceberg. I'll do a restoration thread soon.

I would of chucked that in the trash ... braver soul than me.

I would have, too, if it were a Bally Circus or a Chicago Coin Dolphin.
But it's a Gottlieb Big Top two player add a ball. It's a somewhat rare game with a rep as a good player. It was free, and I had no timetable for restoration.
I thought it would be worth the effort. In the end, it was.
It cleaned up nicely, as you'll see here. I'll try to get the restoration thread started this week. When I do, I'll put a link to it here.

I'm in add-a-ball territory and still only had a chance
at one of these, and I grabbed it.
Good move !

I bought a Strikes and Spares from a grandmother who had it in her house since the 90s. Heres what I found in the coin box:
x3 candles
x6 matchbooks
x5 pennies
x1 KOOL branded grip strenghtner
x1 rat trap
x1 homemade guitar pick
x1 random hardware bag
x1 very small metal mesh circle
x1 mostly used bottle of silicone lubricant
x1 handy pouch with a small flat blade, small phillips and small blade
When I bought it she said it had become a table and she was happy to have the space back. She was as surprised as I was when I opened the coin box and all this stuff was in it. She said to consider it a bonus to the purchase lol
