    Quoted from bobnatlanta:

    Over the years:
A dozen jumpers that were connected in a working EM, serving no apparent purpose as the game worked fine after I removed them all, old juke manuals, James Loflin's business card from long before the IPB deal, enough hair to make about 15 cats, some Spanish coins, arcade tokens from all over the country rattling around between the coin door guts and skin of an apparently well traveled Flying Carpet, a squirrel nest with about 17 million acorns, a little notebook showing the # of plays and weekly coin drop for about a year of game operation - as I recall about $3000 worth, and a hollow point bullet.

I'm enjoying imagining that all came out of one machine.

    Quoted from Bribo13:

The VCR tapes labeled Private were filled with Taped episodes of General Hospital soap operas from the earl 1980's What is so private about that, needless to say I was disappointed.

Sometimes you have to fast forward about 10 minutes to find out what is really on them.

Don't ask me how I know that.....

    #103 4 years ago

some unopened budweisers, and snickers. they must have been old as shit. dont find too many weird things in pin cabs, but all types of weird stuff is in almost every arcade cab that comes through.

I once found complete code inside a Stern. Very rare occurance!!!

Oh yeah, which classic stern did you acquire?

    #105 4 years ago

Porn, unwatchable VHS tape, condom and love letters in a Williams Liberty Bell. Yes, I know that's a Gottlieb King Rock sitting there but that's not the machine I found them in.

Not Nine Ball, that's for sure.

Why isn't it watchable? I'd be making watching that tape a TOP priority given the other stuff found

LOL, do you really want to see two average people getting busy? The average middle aged person should keep their clothes on. There is the few MILFS out there who keep themselves in shape that I would like to see neked but most women my age... no thanks. I wont even mention that I don't want to see a naked man in any form or fashion.

Pulled this out of TZ earlier tonight. Seller was shocked. He bought the machine new, so he thinks it was either one of his kids or one of their "dumb" friends lol. It's HUO, so it wasn't a previous owner.

His kids are 30 and 28, and he thinks it might have been there for 15 or so years.

I had HUMAN BRAINS on the Glass. Guy was shot in his garage for a bag of quarters, his daughter didn't want the machines anymore. I got an IJ, STNG. DM and 2 capcom breakshots $500 each.

    #121 3 years ago

Yes sir. That's no knife, that's a legit homemade, leather handled shank. Thing is huge, and you certainly wouldn't be using it in the kitchen anytime soon.

Kids found a loose diamond inside a Slugfest. Seemed appropriate to me given the theme of the game.

Not strange, but I just pulled all of this from my new Bally Star Trek

    image.jpeg

Soldering irons, Archer solder , tools and other goodies. This game has been in the same home/spot since 1980. There are even some service receipts from the 80's.

i picked up a Sopranos and noticed that one of the pole dancers upper body and head was in the coin box. after looking at the game more it appears that the pole dancer was replaced with Hulk Hogan!!!.
i haven't decided it i will leave Hogan on there or replace it with the pole dancer.

    Thats so funny

    #129 3 years ago

Whew! I learned something new. Yep I'd rather have an Aussie Possum that one of our hissing nasty rats...

Any more strange things found in pinball machines?

    #131 2 years ago

Bought a Stern Big Game and inside was a huge package of Hot Dogs never opened.

A Pink Panther had little miniature childrens story books in it.

An Em that said in black marker inside the coin box floor ''stupid - don't oil anything!''

    #132 2 years ago

    Cleanliness.

Oh wait, that never actually happened.

I had heard of spaghetti wiring but never expected to actually find pasta inside a game

Are you sure that's old pasta, or just a dried out rubber band?

    Both have the same texture.

I brought home a Bally On Beam several weeks ago and all over the bottom board were a bunch ( 46 ) of silver dimes .

I found this a bit odd not the money part but the Silver dimes .

This is a 1969 machine and they stopped issuing silver dimes in 1964 . Were silver coins still in circulation and being used in the late 60's and early 1970's

Is this an unusual occurrence or have others found similar things .

Yes. Fewer ever year, but silver coins are still in circulation. People eventually pull them out of circulation and save them.

A lot of them get sold for scrap value

    #139 2 years ago

I was very excited to find 3 in an old pitch and bat one time. To find 46 would be exhilarating.

    #140 2 years ago
    Quoted from bob_e:

    Yes they do.

Which makes coin collecting difficult. No way of knowing they key dates any more, because no way of knowing how many are left. What were once common dates, may be harder to find.

Yup. I still occasionally get a silver dime or quarter in change. You can always tell by the sound it makes if you drop it. Best one lately was getting a 1921 Liberty Silver quarter as change from a vending machine. It's really worn down, but you can just make out the date and the figure of Liberty on the face.

I found chicken bones from some wings in the coin box of a Williams defender.

I found a bunch of Green Cash in a game today!

Funny thing is it was my cash, and I forgot I stashed it in a game and didnt know it was missing!

Old age, and Meds, there goes my memory!

Oh that's mine. I left it there when I came and visited. Don't you remember?

I think that the 1921 quarter is a fairly rare date

Does appear to be $200 in average condition. That is asking price, and his sounds a little less than average. But worth more than the $3 scrap value.

It may be, but this one is so worn it's barely readable.

Most memorable ones for me so far have been
    1) Crack and crack pipe in game bought from local landscaper.
They were scrambling for the keys but could not find them and were desperate for cash. Drilled the lock when I got it to the shop and figured out why on both fronts quickly.

    2) Dead frog. Completely mummified.Just unexpected not a mouse or bugs but a frog?

    3) Perverted money. Coins with sex acts on them. At first I thought them rare currency from Greece or somewhere but no just dirty coins.
