What's the strangest thing you've ever found in a pinball machine?? Just curious, I figure there's been some odd-ball off the wall items found in pinball machines over the years. Tonight we're working on my gorgar and something odd was in the back box on top of the metal plate over the boards... Upon further inspection... A lawnmower blade!! Oh yeah... An actual old lawnmowers blade! That was a strange find! And quite a surprise!!

That is a surprise! Not meaning to get in the way of your discussion, but you might find it interesting to do a search for previous threads on this subject. A lot of other interesting discoveries (pot was mentioned more than once, I recall) were already noted.

Love the replies. I'll have to search some old threads too. We just purchased a wall mount juke box from an auction that didn't work and had no keys brought it home and drilled out the coin box. Counted it up and there was over $90 worth of quarters. It paid for itself that day!!

I'm currently working on a 1963 Big Inning Pitch & Bat. The only game I've ever gotten for free. Inside I found three dimes. 1952, and two from 1964. That's like $4.89 worth of Silver! Yeah I know not that big of a deal but still pretty fun to find.

I recall a post a few years back, someone went to check out a game a woman was selling and he opened it up and the husbands porn collection was stashed in there. Good day for the Buyer bad day for the Sellers husband.

i picked up a Sopranos and noticed that one of the pole dancers upper body and head was in the coin box. after looking at the game more it appears that the pole dancer was replaced with Hulk Hogan!!!.

i haven't decided it i will leave Hogan on there or replace it with the pole dancer.

On the way to Hooked's house to buy his BK2K , I stopped to see a T2 from C.List listed
    for $ 1700.00.
The Owners said it was just serviced and worked perfect . How many Tyme's have i heard that

On my inspection , It booted up w/ a Credit dot , so I asked for the Coin-door Key's .. The Owners searched for 30 minutes w/ No Luck .. ( something was smelling Fishy ) I was determined to get the Pin , so I told them i had a drill & bit and i could drill the Lock out .. ( Done ) Credit dot was set Date & tyme ,, I took the glass out , p/f was smooth , inserts were Nice & Level but the Pin was in need of a Shop .. I then raised the p/f ,, Ohhh !!! Porn magazines , Big bag of dried up Reefer , cigarettes , lighters . The look on the Owners
( Parents of Kids in College ) Faces was soo Funny .. Like what'tha , then Ohhh $hitt,,
    1. This Ruled out the Service man
    2. Their kids ( 2 boys in College ) liked Smut and Weed .

I said " I guess yr service guy didn't raise the P/f " Like Duhhh !! They Knew they were caught !!

On Futher inspection behind the b'glass , the 3AA batteries look'd like shaving cream had been sprayed on them ,, What a mess .. I told them Strait up , ' I don't thing this Pin has been serviced since you've had it and I'll offer you $ 900.00 " The mother said $ 950.00 .. I said $ 900 , I drove 85 miles to look at a serviced pin and that's Not the case .. $ 900.00 it was .. That's my Story !!
    This T2 , besides need-n a Shop ,, Was a Beauty !! I later sold it to the Banker , then Shanetastic bought it ,, then S.tastic sold it too , Hmm ,, I ship'd it up North , PinB that's it ..

I often find all sorts of goodies in the very back of the pin. Never anything too surprising, but it's always nice to find spare sling plastics, manuals, and tools hidden back there.

Not a pinball game, but once I bought an old 78 player jukebox. There were still plenty of old coins left in it. I brought them all to a coin dealer and walked out with $300! (the juke cost $700)
