Recently paid 3300 for mine in the Denver area. The play field and Red and Ted are in very nice shape, just a few broken plastics which were easily replaced. I couldn't be happier with it. It's one of the most fun machines I've played, everyone smiles and laughs when they play it, totally worth the money in my opinion.
I think there are regional differences in prices that throw people off, too. A game in Denver is going to be priced differently than a game in places with lower salaries and cost of living.
