Exactly that - Arcades, bars, cruise-ships (that'd make it interesting huh?)...how much quid have you spent in one pin-frenzied swoop?

Me? I haven't been in the hobby to long. I think the most I've spent is around $10.00

    #2 12 years ago

    20 bucks for me.

    #3 12 years ago

20 bucks here also. I'm sure I've spent more in arcades when I was younger, but not just on pinball.

    #5 12 years ago

$250 plus hotel and 10 hour drive...........pinball expo

But I know what you mean, about $15, I always buy value, and alternate buy with friends.

I use to fly through the tokens back in the day! Remember the token containers you hung around your neck )

Now days only one place local that has pins and a friend services them and throws me free tokens all the time...hardly ever play a pin in the wild. Would if i could just no where to play anymore!

    #8 12 years ago

Just on pinball about 20 buck but if you are talking an arcade visit back in day I dropped 40 bucks no problem.

    #9 12 years ago

In a tournament I spent around $120 in qualifying once.

    #10 12 years ago

Between my girlfriend and I we spent a minimum of 100 on tokens at PAPA. At least 50 each.

    AND I'D DO IT AGAIN!!!

    #11 12 years ago

Every few months I find myself putting another $50 on a new gameworks card. It'd be cheaper if I didn't keep losing them.

    #12 12 years ago

I get paid to play. Who wouldn't pay to see a gorilla at a machine?

About $15 is the most I think? That was in Florida at a place with 6 machines...and I really sucked then. Short game times

    #14 12 years ago

    About $10 worth of nickels.

    #15 12 years ago

    Back in 80's-90's arcade/pinball days $20 max
Months ago at Lost Ark in Greensboro, $15

    #16 12 years ago

Maybe 15.00 (since I've been an adult that is.) Replays usually save me money but I was playing Tron & Rolling Stones for $1 a credit a couple months ago. Funny, a game for $1 when you get a replay it actually feels like you're accomplishing something!

A few weeks ago, I spent $40.00 total at Flippers; $30.00 for me on the pins( At least 1/2 of that on MM and BBB), and $10.00 on my daughter playing the redemtion games. Evened out tho, my wife won a fake IPOD nano, and my kid won like 3,000 tickets.
But back in the day in Myrtle Beach, who knows how much we bilked my dad out of! "Just one more game!" Wow, I say that now, but its slightly changed to "baby" or "sweetie" and she rolls her eyes!!

$60 at SS Billiards (you're welcome, Lloyd) but it was me, my two kids and my wife.

Back in "the day" $5 would last me 10 hours at the local arcade on an average day.

    #19 12 years ago

Around $10. But if I ever get to Flippers in Grandy, NC, it'll be a lot more!

    #20 12 years ago

Joining the $20 club. Pretty much spend that every other weekend at the arcade (Pinball Wizard). Usually takes a few hours to spend that.

    #21 12 years ago

I think I might have dropped about 30-40 at PBHoF over a 10 hour stay.

Spent 6 hours and 40 bucks there a few weeks ago. And 20 dollars actually gets you 25 worth of tokens I believe.

$10 at Tennessee's last arcade. Gets me more than enough pinball action. The more I play, the better I get, and that means more extra balls and replays!

    #24 12 years ago

$120 to hire a car and put $1 in LOTR to get Valinor twice... Was worth every cent.

    4 weeks later

$15ish today, maybe a bit more. ACDC is so expensive to play ($1/play, no quantity discount)

    #26 12 years ago

The most i spent was about 15.00 on a BSD the first time a ever played one.
    Made me buy one.

    #27 12 years ago

$ 20.00 on Tron Legacy LE @ the pinball HOF just to be sure I really really wanted to spend $ 7500.

    #28 12 years ago

    Hey,

I'd guess $20-$30. Seems to be what I roll through every time I go to SS Billiards between myself and the girlfriend. The funny part about that is we walk in there, and Lloyd has all these great pins to play. The girlfriend, after playing a bunch of machines, decides that her favorites are Big Bang Bar and Medieval Madness. Couldn't have been something like the Hook sitting there for twelve or thirteen hundred dollars...

About 8500. Ended up buying two pins I liked. Lol

    #30 12 years ago

I never keep track, that would be evidence.

    #31 12 years ago

I dropped about $60 at Marvelous Marvins a few months ago. It took all afternoon, but I played a bunch of pinball and fell in love with Funhouse. So, it was worth it.

    #32 12 years ago

$7 on the Avatar at my Local Taco Mac. Still undecided whether I like it or not, but it's the only machine near by other than the movie theater though I refuse pay to see a movie when I just want to play the machine there.

    #33 12 years ago

Most I ever spent in one trip to the arcade was $40.

Most I ever spent in one day on pinball machines was buying a World Cup Soccer '94, Attack From Mars, and Spider-Man. Yes, all three in one day. I'll withhold how much they set me back in case my wife stumbles in here...

    #34 12 years ago

We used to have a local bar when I was in school, that had TZ on location and gave out rolls of quarters on your bar tab. Beer and quarters on the tab made for fun nights and empty wallets.

    #35 12 years ago

about 20 is my limit for a location visit like Lyons or Flipper McGills. Usually around 5 bucks.

    #36 12 years ago

About $20 between me and the wife every time we stop in at SS, and then another $20 at Mortimer's. Back when I was about 14 me and my buddy would take my paper route collections and cash the checks at the corner gas station that at any one time had an TAF, IJ, Mousin' Around, and probably a couple others. I know one day between soda, snacks, and TAF, we spent 60 bucks. Oh well good times. Around here now the only two machines I know of on location are at the casino 60 miles away so between gas, hotel, and what I might loose at the tables probably averages out to 10 bucks a game even though I spent 2 hours playing TAF for 50 cents. Gotta do what you gotta do for some ball in these parts.
