    What's the difference between a Bally AS-2518-16 and a AS-2518-22 Solenoid Driver Board ??

    #2 9 years ago

The AS-2518-16 was the first version of the board and is double sided meaning that
it has traces on both sides of the board. The AS-2518-22 was an updated version first
used with Power Play. This board is single sided so all traces are on the back side. It
also has a small fuse for the high voltage regulator that the -16 board doesn't have.
The -22 board is easier to repair since there are solder connections only on one side
but both boards are completely interchangeable.

Just a later revision. I think the -22 board added the HV fuse. They are cross compatible with each other including the stern sdu-100 version.

That's what I needed to know, that both boards are completely interchangeable.
    Thanks
