    I was curious about this too. When you are buying a $60K car in person from a private party, do you just bring cash or a cashier's check? The few times that I have sold or bought a car, I just met the other party at my bank where there is a county Sherriff.

    It's been like this for more than 5 years. Luckily most buyers are honest but I still refuse to sell anything for more than a couple hundred in Paypal.
