    Hello Pinsiders… I think one of the very best mods for a game is; Speakers with sound amp/upgrade system.

    My son & I did these games in the past couple years; TZ / Tommy / GnR’s / ACDC prem / Elvis. The sound enhancements are AWESOME! Done with this equipment;

    Amplifier: Sound Storm Lab EV4.400 (http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Storm-Laboratories-EV4-400-4-Channel/dp/B003GSLEE4)

    (2) 5.25” Backbox Speakers: Sound Storm Lab F252 (http://www.amazon.com/F252-FORCE-200-watt-Coaxial-Speaker/dp/B000O554JS)

    8” Cabinet Speaker: Sound Storm Lab SS8 (http://www.amazon.com/SS8-8-inch-400-watt-SINGLE-Subwoofer/dp/B00CMC6O68)

    Unfortunately; most of the above are no longer available.

    We now want to modify the following games; TAF / Congo / CFTBL / WH2O / BSD / Getaway HSII / ST-TNG. I’m sure the internal subs & speakers have gotten even better / smaller and maybe even less priced.

    What are your “Best Bang for the Buck” internal amp & speaker choices?

    BTW: I’m not into an external sub under cabinet and I have no problem cutting the 6” base hole larger, to 8”, to accommodate a bigger / better sounding BASS speaker.

    Thanks for your input!

    I did markmons upgrade to wpc speakers on my TAF and it sounds crazy good, rumbles with no amplifier added. STTNG and ACDC I have added the plate amps from Parts-Express along with new cabinet speakers and it sounds pretty good.

    Lushtech...

    Thanks for chiming in on my thread.

    We (my son & I) have done 6 pin upgrade amp / speaker upgrades in the past 5 years. Unfortunately, the amps we preferred are no longer available.

    What you have suggested, very well maybe a great solution. I also like your base speaker option. I'm going to look into both those.

    I have a handful of pins on my upgrade list;
    ST-TNG / Congo / the Getaway HSII / WCS and possibly a couple System 11's Mousin Around & Bad Cats.

    Kerry_Richard Could you tell me how you powered the Amp? Did you just wire into the 12v bus on the power board, or use a external source? If you used external, would you mind sharing what you used?

    Thanks!!
