Album is here: https://plus.google.com/photos/105394408854149779428/albums/6020371358198047889?authkey=CKrUgZuJlq7-cw

Here is the breakdown...

Game is in what I'd describe as great player's condition. The DMD is bright. It is dialed in and plays 100%. I shopped it about two years ago, it probably has 100 games on it since.

I'd call it an ideal restoration candidate if you choose to go that route.

It's an off-route domestic machine. The cabinet itself is in solid shape but there is the typical leg wrinkle and a few touched up spots on the head. So new artwork and chrome side armor would put it in a totally different league.

The playfield shows some wear at the drac track. I installed the bracket to keep it from getting worse. The mosh-pit wear is covered by a Cliffy. Some insert edge lifting is visible but most hasn't broken thru the paint along the edges. The shooter lane plastic is broken at the end closest to the ball launch, as is typical. I have the Pinbits replacement for it I've just never bothered to replace it.

Boards are unhacked and all match, even the transformer sticker matches for what that's worth.

When I shopped it I re-rubbered in white, tweaked the pops, rebuilt the flippers, installed LEDs in the controlled lamps (inserts) and in addition, when I first got the machine I sent all the wireform ramps out to Rob at Zplating for a fresh refinish.

In addition to the machine, I have the following things that would allow for a full restoration:
* a hand-picked IPB playfield with an extra coat of clear
* a complete set of NOS plastics
* a complete set of hand-picked side art

This is another title that I was always going to restore however life has a way of interfering so it hasn't happened. It's a popular title so I'm hoping to pass it on to somebody that sees it as a turnkey restoration opportunity.

Thanks

This is a very hard one to price. I'd love to do the restore for anyone that bought it locally to me. My guess is 7,500 plus or minus. Without any of the extras.

I think you could sell it pretty quickly at $7,000-$7,500.

Quickly would mean within 4-5 days.

Start at 8k if you are selling it then go no lower than 7K

7k would be a fire sale if those extras are included IMO

Yeah, guys, I appreciate the input but I too am having difficulty figuring out if the suggestions include the approx 1400 worth of extras I have, or not.

Should I split it up? Sell just the game? I would imagine everyone would want side art with it. I picked that side are out at IPB myself a couple of years ago. Correction - Kim helped me a lot, she has an eye for the details and it was a lot more her showing me what to look for than me being the one to scrutinize it by myself.

I could see a buyer not being interested in the plastics since the ones in the game now, plus the couple singles I have, are a complete set and they're not in bad shape at all. The complete new set would be for a full restoration.

Unless it gets announced as the next remake title...

i think some A-game values are a bit soft waiting on the next announcement.

This is the problem. I wanted a MB but I have no idea what the market is right now for one. If there is a remake I'd rather just have a brand new one. I went through the whole decal playfield swap with my FH and have zero interest in doing that again. I'm thinking I should just order a NIB Luci and wait for the MM and MB market to decide where it's going to go.

Edit:
PM this guy and ask him what kind of offers he was getting. He probably has the best idea right now what the market is for a MB like yours.

I would split up the game and the extras. Start the game in the $7500-$8000 range.

I was only speaking about the game. You will definitely get better results listing everything separately.

$7-9,000 all day long, but if PPS announces a re-make plan on dropping price by 25-40% the exact same thing happened to Medieval Madness when announced and built.

Not sure that's a fair comparison as MM was fetching over 12k for a routed beater before the announcement, MB has gotten spendy but no where near the pre announcement MM levels.

If you're looking for top dollar you're better off listing your pins FS on Ebay or the Classifieds. Here you'll just get the remake scare tactics.

Bill, you better sell this MB for 4 grand now… the remake is coming! BOO!

I'd sell the extras separate. The game I'd put at about $7500. If I were still in the market we'd be talking.
