We all know it's what someone's willing to pay, but I intend on finding out. Done trying to diagnose this and I'm not playing enough pinball to throw any more money at it. I plan on listing as a .99 NR auction on Ebay.

I basically had issues with no back box lights, and because of that no sound. Finally get that resolved and then I have an issue with a phantom scoring when I hit the right flipper button. Now (probably because of phantom score issue) F1 on power module board (20amp) blows on start up so no insert lights now.

Just done at this point as I plan to get down to one pin for the near future. The game has so many new parts, but still needs some work to play right.

CPR Flash Gordon PF, Pinball Pimp Stencils used for cabinet restoration, coin door reskinned, all new boards (every single one ), all new LED displays, new legs, trim, lockdown bar, silk screened reproduction apron, shooter rod, chrome backglass lift channel, new drop targets (except 1 bank, but I have the new targets and will provide). All flippers rebuilt and coils rewrapped. I'm sure there are other new items I'm missing too.

The bad. The F1 blows, so no playfield lights, although strobe is new and was working the strobe doesn't currently flash. The game really hasn't been played since the swap (Little Shop of Games) so the switches and targets need to be tweaked to play perfect IMO. They all seem to register except one standup, but game just needs some tweaking. The playfield fits a little snug, so there is some slight rubbing on the inside of the cabinet on the left side.

Pretty much all I can think of. The game is gorgeous and will make someone happy, but it's still a semi-project. Just wondering what you think my pin is worth in it's current condition. Although my plan is a .99 no reserve Ebay auction, I guess I could be swayed by an offer on Pinside. Not really my goal, but if I do I will make a donation =/> than what would have been assessed.

Try and ignore the heavy breathing

This is actually a really hard game for me to part with. FG is my favorite classic Bally hands down, but just done seeing it sit and not being played/enjoyed.

Looks awesome! I would guess $4500.

#3 5 years ago

I bet you could get $3500 for it pretty easily.

Good luck.

#4 5 years ago

One crazy stupid fine FG, I agree with brenna98 4500.

#5 5 years ago

please submit your sale price to pinside when it does sell.

#6 5 years ago

Nice game, you would be much better off finishing it and tweaking everything then selling as is. You get it playing 100% and dialed in perfect and you could push 4500-5000 for it. As is not working, it much more likely to bring 3K give or take a little.

I agree, all the issues you described should be pretty easy fixes. Fantom scoring with the right flipper?, a switch on the playfield adjusted too close, pound on the playfield and if it scores then that's the issue. Or a diode on the flipper or something on that line. That is by far the nicest FG I have ever seen and I would never part with it! If you do sell as is you should still get 3k+

Very nice to know. I have one that is in similar condition but no issues that I am thinking of selling. GLWTS

I agree with others, this needs to be 100% for you to get a fair/real price.

you are 99% of the way there.

I like everyone's optimism, but I think it will be less. I tried to be as open as possible in my Ebay listing. It is a semi-project so that will keep a fair amount of bidders away. It's listed as a .99 no reserve auction and I plan on letting the market determine the value.

FWIW I cant tell you how disappointed I never got to enjoy this game after the PF swap.

I posted quite a bit about my issues with sound and backbox lights. Frustrating to get that fixed and go into something else. I think the root cause never got fixed.

I do think it will be a easier fix for someone that knows what their doing. I don't lol. Anyway, if anyone is interested I'm sure the threads are easily found. It also confirms how long I've put this on the back burner or just gave up trying to fix it myself.

Limiting a sale to pickup only is going to severely limit your bidders also.

Just pointing out the reality. Shipping is extremely easy and in a game like this you are likely cutting 1k off the final price by not allowing a buyer to set up and pay for shipping.

Just joking with you.

The game looks great. Only played one a couple of times.

Man, you have all new Alltek boards in there. I'd suggest covering it with a sheet and walk away from it for awhile. Chill for a little while. Think on it. Then take another stab at it when you are more relaxed.

Maybe your power board is bad?? Or you have a crossed wire?

It is a beautiful pin.

Let's not forget about the eBay fees if you're going to have to pay to after the sale

Are there no good techs in your area? I imagine someone with the right skills could get this sorted for you in no time. Someone likely put 100+ hours into the restore. Don't quit now. Just hanf over the reins to a good tech and you'll likely be flipping the next day.

If you insist on selling I'd estimate $3500 as-is, or $4500-$5000 if 100% dialed.

This is nuts. Seriously. You have a cpr pf in a gorgeous cabinet. It’s one of greatest games ever. And you’re going to take a ridiculous hit on it.

Either take a break for a while or pay a few hundred for someone with more experience to work on it You’ll have something truly special in the end. Do not throw it away.

I'm bidding. Will see what happens. High bidder for now. Good luck to OP whatever.you decide.

Man I know this is going to piss some off, but I ended this auction early. I've never done this before and usually enjoy the auction process, but after posting on the Village (Fl collectors board) I've made a deal with someone local.

We've just agreed to the deal, but it was a fair offer and includes the transformer that I was looking for to complete my TAF restoration. I actually have the ad posted here. Anyway, I actually think that might have been enough to make me end it. I don't want to disclose any details because my intention is not to try and have someone one up it. Happy with deal in place.

#24 5 years ago

Strange. I was high bidder and ebay didn't notify me that it ended.

Unless you are being sarcastic, eBay would notify you that your bid has been canceled on their site as well as by email.
I received my notice earlier this evening.

I am not being sarcastic. Last I looked I was high bidder somewhere around $2700 and I didn't get a notice I was outbid or that the auction had ended. When I log in I cam see that it has ended.

Last bid I saw was $2800.
It remained there for awile until the seller ended things early.
Somebody down in Flo-Rida
is going to be very happy.
On second thought, make that two.

It honestly is pretty lame. Why even start an auction if you are just gonna pull the funny stuff and end it early?

Seems like a waste of everyones time.

All his rules/standards were laid out and well written for all to see. He did not pull a rug out from under anyone. He advised all that he could pull the auction.

Nobody has been harmed.

I don’t disagree with you. It happens a lot on stuff I watch and i always feel it’s an attempt to avoid Ebay fees. This wasn’t. I received a very fair offer with a part I need. Although the bid on Ebay was at 2800, I want worried about the price moving. I figured it might have stagnated there and jumped at the end with people trying to snipe it. I would do the same. I would have been okay with whatever price it sold for through the auction.

At this point I have a deal in place. I asked for no deposit.

I don’t expect it to, but if this deal falls though for some reason (set to take place this Thursday or Sunday depending on logistics) I will relist on Ebay at .99 and state in my auction it will run the duration of ad and only be sold to the highest bidder. I really do feel bad about ending the auction.

LOL, I love it! Op, you need to own a Titty Bar! The way you got people in the door with a post and 100 pictures and an innocent story was a gem. Then you had a roomful of hard tails whipping out their wallets and drooling all over themselves to throw cash around(Ebay auction that you hyped here and started), then you closed at 4 AM(ended the Ebay auction) and still had them talking about how they almost bedded a stripper as they drove home dry...

#33 5 years ago

I've never seen a spacer bar like this inside the cab. Is this original or is it something you added?

Not even close. My max bid was way under the value of the game and I have no interest in your sister.

I'm guilty of starting a forum post to promote my .99 auction NR auction on Ebay (more guilt for stopping it)

What's semi funny is I would not have posted my ad on the Village BBS had someone not contacted me on Pinside asking about my Ebay statement saying I had it "listed on a local forum, so bid early". Like I said I've never ended my auctions early but I usually throw that statement in just in case some weird event comes up. After they contacted me I figured I better follow through and just post on the Village.

Buyer made a very solid offer (and creative adding the transformer into the offer that I have a WTB ad listed on here) considering where Ebay auction was at and explained why the game was important to them. Both of us have been on the Village for years so it's a bonus it will stay local.

You have told us a lot about yourself.

Quoted from Madmax541:

That’s legit on FG

Is that the only game that has it? What's it for, keeping the correct distance between the side panels or just making it overall sturdier?

Shame OP didn't get this FG going. I have rescued a few "restored but not really working" classic Bally games over the years. Usually a short somewhere, ground problem, or a weak connection, and the connectors on this game look original. Best of luck to new owner, at least the cosmetics are done.

He wanted to know what it was worth.... and now he knows. I knew he would stop the auction once the price got up there.

Funny

I have seen one of those spacers in another Bally on pinsides pages.

I believe these are support for large sheets of plywood to minimize/control warping.

Interesting - I have a BOPP with slight concave warping on one side which makes the playfield really snug. It could benefit from that, but I don't see the part either on Marco's, Pinball Life or eBay.
