Boarders are essential in this hobby unless you own a heated airport and have a few million to spare!
After reading all the excellent insights into this game, I'm starting to think that the game might be a bit too 'complicated' for my simple mind... I get the feeling that the direction a player takes as he progresses through the game is partly determined by fate as random door pannels are chosen by the slot machine... It's definitely seems to be a thinking game, but maybe too much so to be enjoyable for me personally... I love strategy in a game, but I guess I'm a bit simple as far as how 'multi-directional' I like the strategy to be... the strategy in this game seems to have too many legs for me to feel I'm in control or to know where I'm heading...
Hell, I'm having trouble getting to grips with the strategy of Congo!!
I also prefer Backgammon to Chess...
Thanks again for all the input, it's helped me a lot to understand what the games about...
