Good Idea can this be for all DC/Baltimore Metropolis?!

Here is what I have for sale or Trade (possible package deal)

Banzai Run Completely Shopped LED's Works 100% (Price Negotiable but no trades)
Possibly Twilight Zone for sale or prefer Trade for LOTR.
High Speed $1000 Works/Clean but Unshopped
Space Station $1500 Works/Clean but Unshopped
Black Pyramid $600 In Storage (not sure on current working status) in good shape but Unshopped

All Good to excellent playfields.

Quoted from Chippewa-Pin:

I think the idea is about being in a 4 hour drive radius.

Agreed the DC area you can be in VA PA DC WVA MD and DE within a two hour drive or less.

Quoted from PoMC:

Also finishing up a great MAME/home console emulator (Atari, Colecovision, Genesis, Nintendo, etc) machine. Awesome two player, 7 button control panel with a Happ trackball and spinner. Plays about 12,000 games, plus also is a fully loaded music and video jukebox using E-Touch. Really it's finished, but just need a few finishing touches, but fully configured and playable.
27" CRT screen with inputs for a cable/DTV box, DVD player, able to connect game systems. So if you don't have a TV in your game room, or want another TV, this cabinet has it.
Will be for sale or trade - around the $2000 price range.

We need to quit messing around and connect some time. We have no excuse being so close.

#21 9 years ago
Quoted from PoMC:

For sure, we're free most weekends...kayaking during the day, chilling at night. Would love to play your pins too.

I will shoot an invite here soon. I know a couple guys in our panhandle area that want to start up a get together. I think I will host the first one to kick it off so everyone can meet.

Morning BUUUMP-I posted my High Speed on Craigslist this morning. I put some wiggle room on the price but will honor what I posted here yesterday if you are interested.

I'm already maxed out on space, haha.. I live in a small apartment and five is my max (I'm at five right now). I've been planning on parting with it anyway with the idea of getting a solid playing System 11 title.

Understood just let me know if you want to check it or any of my pins out.

Anyone want a Black Pyramid $500?

#66 9 years ago
Quoted from PoMC:

I'm considering trading my really nice Starship Troopers. Full LEDs, no playfield wear, looks super, plays fast, I gave it a full tear down shop job recently. Game looks gorgeous IMO. I'll get pics posted later tonight when I get home, but actually you can see recent pics here when I added the Pinblades artwork. Only considering trading just to get something new to play. Possibly would add $$ to the deal, but not much.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pingraffix-star-trek-pinblades-on-starship-troopers
Also have a nice LW3 for sale or trade. And will have my latest MAME/Home Console arcade machine available soon.
Harpers Ferry, 25425
I'd prefer not to have to drive this time around, but will drive for the right trade.

Hey POMC I was at radioshack in Charles Town Recently to see if they had a specific fuse and they said some other guy frequents them that fixes up pinball. I am thinking that is you...when are we going to cross paths...

#73 9 years ago
Quoted from Omniscience3:

If only I had something to haul it in....

Hey FYI the Coil/solenoid circuit is out right now and its not the fuse. But it powers up and all displays work and a game starts just no coils working to pop the ball out. Its on the bottom of my pinball troubleshooting task list so I am selling it as is for $500. The backglass/ playfield/ cabinet are all in good shape. If you are serious about wanting it you are only in Martinsburg so maybe we could work out delivery fee...You are welcome to come check it out.

#75 9 years ago
Quoted from Omniscience3:

Yeah, I'd like to check it out. What's a good time for you? I'm off Fridays & Saturdays.

Just sent you a PM lets make this happen!

#84 9 years ago
Quoted from Omniscience3:

We made it happen! Thanks JF & BJ. Finally, got the hobby going. The best part? The wife played a for a while and said, "We need to have more than one."

Rick it was great meeting you on Saturday and you have a beautiful family as well!!!! Glad we could make this happen (Especially with BJ saving the day and getting it fixed!). This was my first sale through Pinside and this was Rick's first Pinball machine. Glad this thread was started and we connected. FYI Rick is the Cool Bearded one on the left, and I am the dope on the Right...

I've got a High Speed for sale. I believe it was Jesters old one, but I bought it off of someone else (don't know his Pinside handle). Anyways it's now for sale, due to me both finding something else I was looking for as well as needing to relocate for my job.
I've got it listed at $1000 which is what I bought it for, but I've put a couple hundred more into it. I'm listening to all reasonable offers though, so fire away.

Man that High Speed has gone through a lot of owners in a short time. Its a great game in great shape...If I did not have machines to sell I "might" consider taking it back...

So I have an Addams Family that I have beautifully restored with Color DMD, LED, Titan Competition Rings, New Ramp and Plastics and other assorted Mods that I will be putting on the market soon once I finish up the last few items. Pricing will be more in the $6500 range but if anyone is in the market for a Standout TAF I can get you the full details and pics and we can talk.

Also I have an unshopped/Restored Creech that works that I am looking to tackle next once TAF is done but if anyone is interested in "as is" $3800 is the price.

Finally if you have a machine you need a HIGH QUALITY SHOP/RESTORE Job done to just let me know as I have an opening before Creech. Restoration is my true passion over collecting and I have restored a bunch of machines for people in the DC area.

A Couple of Pics of the TAF and Creech

Hey if anyone is looking for a TMNT I will have one available soon. It in good shape with LED's as it sits but I can offer to shop it out with the latest Titan Competition rings and other upgrades or mods etc for a very reasonable price as part of the sale. Feel free to contact me by PM for pics and other details. I am on vacation but will be able to get pics to anyone interested this coming week. Price is very negotiable as well as trades as I took it in on a trade plus cash for another machine. Comes from a great PINSIDE collector and works well.

Hey Everyone I just saw some of the recent posts. I know many of you personally including Glarrownage and POMC who are both excellent guys and I have talked to BigD1979 before and he also has a great rep. Just remember that just like writing emails and writing on a forum people can take things the wrong way or misunderstand the tone of something or even not know the proper protocol of handling things. Also I know from experience that when you are somewhat anonymous and the people you are "Talking" to are also we sometimes will say things we wouldn't if we knew them.

I once posted pictures of a machine I was working on that was of a high value that I was looking to sell. It was so KILLED and criticized on Pinside that I literally had people that were serious buyers contact me and say sorry can't buy it anymore. I then had people actually apologize for being so critical realizing it totally hurt my chances of selling it on this forum. The DC/Balt/PA area is a GREAT market place for pinball.

Finally I am not defending any of the statements made people need to live with the consequences. HOWEVER Lets stay civil and remember that we all end up interacting it seems like at a certain time. If you feel slighted do your best to ignore or contact that person privately.

Bdk-4100. Awesome playfield, leds, undercab LEDs, mirror blades. Players cabinet. Philadelphia area.

THIS IS AND HAS BEEN AN AWESOME THREAD!!!! I have bought and sold though it since it came up. It has been wonderful for this area.

Glad to see the "Virtual" handshakes and better understanding. As I mentioned I have had Glarrownage and PoMC and COYOTE and many others to my home and have done business with all of you. I can vouch for each one of them as GREAT individuals FIRST and then GREAT contributers to this Hobby. Each one of those I named has offered equipment and resources to me at no cost. I love the hobby for that reason as I have made friends with everyone I meet.

SO BACK TO BUSINESS--I may have a couple of machines coming in on trade through a number of recent deals. I will have a second owner home use Stern Batman Dark Knight in beautiful condition with full Cointaker LEDS. Also a players Judge Dredd that I fully shopped and LED'ed as well. No credit errors and looks and plays great. PM me with interest I have have not priced them out yet until they are fully in my possession.

Ok apparently some pinside a**hole pussy who has a issue with me likes to keep being childish and hiding behind his computer and also posting bogus cl adds with my screen name . If you have a issue with me for some odd reason thats fine but dont bring my significant other or any of my pinball friends into the equation. If you have a problem message me or something bc I have a feeling I know who you are but im not going to point any fingers just yet as I dont wanna engage in this immature behavior . Thank you and have a lovely evening i know I will .

I saw that post on Craigslist and flagged it. That is just not right and if the person is identified I hope their Pinside privileges are revoked. Don't worry Bigd1979 we all think less of people that post crap like that not the person they are slurring.

I have a JUDGE DREDD for sale now...To give you some background on this machine I did a thorough shop job on it about 4 months ago for a friend/customer. It has the full Premium Coin-taker LED bulbs installed and super bands on the flippers and new black rings for the rubbers. At the time my friend was not sure if he wanted to restore it for sale or to keep but eventually he had me track down a Spider-man pinball for him so I took this in as part of our trade package. I did all the work on it so I know it is tuned in and he has had no problems the last four months. It is not a collector piece however it is in very good condition with no noticeable wear on the play-field and the cabinet is in good shape including the art work not beat up or scratched. It has no switch errors and is ready to play. The lock down bar does have some of those weird "weld" spots. I am asking $2200 for it however if I also love to do any mods you might want before delivery such as COLOR DMD or Mirror Blades or undercabinet light show. Just PM me if interested and I can send you more pictures as these are just of the set up last night.

I am working on shopping out and refurbishing a CFTBL and a Freddy this month. Hope to have them both ready for sale next month. Both are dirty and need some good TLC but they will come out very nice. I already ordered a new translite for Freddy and he will have a new "Glove" flipper. If you are interested in them and would like me to customize the Titan rings colors, and other MODs let me know.

Anyone interested or looking for a Decent Road Show for around 3k? I am negotiating a package deal and this machine is not one that I have a lot of interest in. I looked it over and it works 100% plays nice and really clean. Two small spots of wear on the playfield and no leds. Cabinet in great shape with some fade on the left side but not too bad. Overall a great example of the game. If you are interested I can get you more details as I am holding out unless I know someone wants the Road Show.

#2154 8 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

3k seems high considering the wear and no upgrades . I sold one for 2400 with no wear and lots of upgrades and all working and I had a few people interested but it went to Canada lol. Id say 2500 wld be a good price on it these days as there are others listed for around that price that haven't sold yet .

Yeah thats what holds me back he has two other machine that would package up nicely that I want, but not sure how high a demand for Road Show and its the machine that makes the package price deal out of my range.

#2156 8 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

Its actually a fun pin and I had it for awhile . Have you tried one?. It has lots to do

I have not owned one but it is a fun pin and this one is in excellent condition and operates with no errors. I asked because he loves the pin but needs the space and I wanted to see if someone was looking for this game because I would be getting it in a package deal and I would not move up the price. Its worth 3k to him so I can't get it lower its the other pins he is throwing in reduced only if I take Road show as part of the deal. I would need to sell Road Show quickly to re-coop the money so wanted to line up something before I pulled the trigger.

Quoted from PoMC:

Thanks! Easy mods...added some glow in the dark Titan rubber - still have a few more to add but need to remove the ramps to do so, and with the projects I already have, ain't happening soon.
The viper snake head is a piece of a He-Man Snake Mountain playset that I bought for $5 on ebay. The flying saucer is a toy from a candy product in Japan that I bought and had shipped for $3 off ebay. Both were painted with UV paint and glow really cool under the blacklights. The red Viper car was found in my step-son's old Hot Wheels collection in the attic. I've added a blue one since those pics and it was $3 on eBay. The American flag was a decal that came in one of my orders for free. I just applied it to cardboard and placed it there to cover the end of the light fixture.
The 12v red and blue light strips were $4 each and are plugged into a DC adapter in the service outlet and they even have a switch if I want them off or on during a game. I happened to have them already for my jukebox projects. When on, they stay on during blacklight action, but don't detract from it since they are LED bright.
I still have to add Viper logo decals to the speaker grills, which I just remembered I had. I also bought a key switch for $6 and the start button will be replaced and you'll turn the ignition key to start games. That's gonna be cool!

I knew you would do a bunch of cool stuff with this one! Glad you enjoy it!

Quoted from zimjoe:

What, you couldn't wait for mine to sell I already have both a trade and a cash offer that I am pondering. Despite the Price Police showing up in my thread to poo poo asking more than $10 for a Big Guns, a lot of people like this game. The trade offer isn't the Genesis I have been waiting for, but it is interesting.
The pics look good with the brighter lights. Big Gins isn't a super bright game. I bet the LEDs help a lot. Mine is still incandescent; I haven't seen one with LEDs in person. I like to pretend it's a traditional thing, but really I hate spending the money. When I buy a game with LEDs, I never take them out.
Your machine looks really nice. Getting that play field that shiny takes some work. Good luck with your sale.

ZIMJOE-This is probably one of the nicest responses I have ever received on Pinside! Thank you for being so gracious and complimentary that means alot especially when we are selling the same machine. To be honest I debated even posting it wondering if I should wait until you sell yours. In the end I need to sell this one ASAP to fund some other projects and other family stuff so thanks again for the kind words.

For me personally I have fallen in love with shopping out machines with the latest mods/materials (LED's, Competition Rings, New plastic posts, new hardware etc) and I have started buying in bulk. First thing I do when I get a machine is start seeing how the LED's look in it. Big Guns I originally did the GI in all Natural White LED's but then once I tried a few Red under the bricks it looked so amazing that I pulled all of the ramps and plastics out and redid it in all RED and it looked way better.

#3771 7 years ago
Quoted from zimjoe:

I figure there is no reason to go after a local guy. I'm from a small town and being rude is usually remembered. While I like to joke around, I was 100% sure selling a Big Guns was not a malicious move meant to anger me... or was it?

I've seen your machines come up in this thread and they look nice. I have yet to see a warning thread, so you must be doing good work. I like to work on my own machines and I have even dabbled in board repair. I just don't have the time or the passion to jump in like you have.
Let me know if you ever come across a fixer-upper Genesis. I'm a polite buyer too

When I posted I felt like your Pinside Avatar...I don't really own a Big Guns I thought lets just stir things up heheheeh....

Thanks again for your nice remarks I will keep a look out for a Genesis then when I find it I will break the ramps and then sell it to you at 150% mark-up muhahahahaha...

Quoted from bonanza:

Really? Robin is asking $10 or $15 when you sell your machine. I think it is $50 for a NIB machine. Too much for ya?

If you have donated its less than that per machine. I really don't mind as I now sell as many machines on here as I do craigslist. The ad is free they only ask for the fee if it sells. To me I reach more people across the country than I do on Craigslist and its certainly cheaper than ebay percentages.

#4260 7 years ago

Also where else on the internet do you not see banner or pop-up ads? I am glad they keep it to JUST pinball. I have no issues with the fees when I sell I am glad to. Sure there are ways to do things off line like in EBAY but I like keeping everything legit and also now it has real sell prices in the data base vs "Value". This site provides so much for free (Including want ads and parts ads) that I don't mind the small fee when selling a machine as I said FAR better than ebay/paypal fees. This weekend I had the weirdest booting issue with a machine I am fixing for a customer. I posted here on pinside and a guy from Australia figured out the issue and it was as simple as a connector plugged in the wrong socket. This fixed the problem in less than 24 hours. Its wonderful in the sense that it saved me money from sending a board out that I thought had some damage by the way the game was acting. The value of this site is far more than the 5-15 dollars for making a sell off of a machine to a worldwide audience. I understand people in this day and age not wanting to be nickeled and dimed but this is far from doing that IMHO.

Does anyone get this recently when clicking on pinball machines in this area from Craigslist? No matter what I click on I get this error. Never had this issue before.

"There is nothing here

No web page for this address

404 Error"

#4464 7 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

Usually means you have been banned unfortunately

I can still get to craigslist and do searches. Not sure how searching for pinball machines gets me banned? That is the only thing I do on Craigslist? Is it because I search to frequently?

#4465 7 years ago
Quoted from ForceFlow:

See if there are trailing characters or a < p > at the end of the address. Those usually cause it.

I don't see anything like that. I clicked on the Haunted House rifle game listed and it comes up fine but all others come I get the same error. Craigslist!

Hey Everyone I picked up a Gottlieb Raven. I bought it to restore or flip. The plastics, playfield, ramps all look to be in fantastic shape. The cabinet has a few scrapes but nothing major and the colors are not faded. We turned it on and it lit up but did not boot fully and the display did not come on. I bought as is so could not go through connections etc to see if they are easy fixes or not. This was home used for many years and mostly storage over the last few years. I have a backlog of machines to restore so if you have been looking for a nice Raven I would part with it for $650 as is bundled up.

2.I know "FB" this is not the most sought after game when I bought it but I also know there are plenty of ZIMYJOEY out there that want this as there first pin or part of a large collection etc. ITS ALL GOOD(I may even mod it with a boat anchor to increase the value)!!!!!! Looking to fund some parts for a machine I am restoring so I am putting up one of my cheaper project machines for sale...I dare anyone to find a better project than this one. It has everything a project machine should, doesn't boot up when powered on, has some flaky backglass, playfield wear, painted cabinet, ...HECK I will even throw in the rusty legs at no extra charge. If you want to buy it to part it out I am okay with that but then you WILL have to sign a waiver that you won't sell the parts back to me for a profit. Quoted from Malenko:

is my SFII over priced or something or does everyone hate the game?

I don't personally like the game, but there are HARD CORE SFII that want your machine as part of a collection or basement theme. I owned a really nice one that had all new plastics etc a couple years back and I think I sold it for like $1300. Dropping the price a little or fixing it up to be top of the line (Replace the coil, do the art, LED's) you might find someone at that price but it is a tough sale compared to other DMD's in that range. GLWS people buy it for the theme mostly not the game play or animations typically. Also there is a SFII club that has some hard core enthusiasts. Be sure to post there or ask for suggestions to get a sale.

Quoted from bigd1979:

Yep saying it was nice was putting it down.

Just stating that you really cant compare them as they are 2 different labor of loves. Alot people here can do a nice shopout and add mods .But a total restore is another level of expertise ...especially redoing decals and playfield swap. Anyhow its all pinball which is great in my book.

Hey guys IT IS ALL GOOD!!!!!

Jess/Glarrownage I really appreciate you sticking up for me and the work I did on that TAF machine. You have amazing restoration skills yourself including more patience and time that you put into each machine, your compliments mean a lot to me.

I have no issues with BIGD, he is always very helpful on this forum and his pricing comments are usually spot on. Though we have not met, everyone that has met him seems to have a great opinion of him and I did not take his remarks as a slight in any way.

Brooklydrug- we have not met but you are correct that game was not at the level of the BOP 2.0 that Don/Burningman, a guy I know and have collaborated with for years. There is a reason his machine was showcased and is making the round on the pinball circuit because he put a lot of time and money and skills to make it a top restoration. For the TAF we took a machine that was desperately in need of a good shop out and upgrades and turned it into what you see. I completely agree it has its flaws and is not a perfect Restore and is not up to the level that locals like Dan at the Barn/ or Don/Burningman, Rick/POMC, Mike/Coyote, Mike/Billsfan, Devon/Solchx, or Jess/Glarrownage. All guys I have met and are mentors to me. Yes there is a lot more we could have done if we had the time and money but the owner gave us a budget and we made the best of it based on mutual collaboration, and I was proud of the results and the owner was more than satisfied as well.

I really appreciate all the nice compliments it means the world to me!!! This is one of the BEST threads on Pinside! I love you all!! Keep it positive guys we are all passionate about this hobby and it certainty shows!!!!!

#4916 7 years ago
Quoted from BrooklynDrug:

That Addams was def not up there with the quality of that beautiful bop. No way at all. Plenty O' flaws I could spot on that thing and I'm not even that great at fixing em'. That bop though, that, was a work of art. While that Addams was decent, no where near the realm of the bop.

HEY BD!!! I honestly, and I truly mean this, I would have loved to have met you and heard your feedback and critique in person. I really like it when I get constructive criticism as it helps me think about how to do differently on the next pin. This is the fifth TAF i have shopped-out/restored for customers in this area and each time I learn a little more and hopefully do a better job. Customers I do work for LOVE the results because they do not have the budget or time to send off to a HEP or other top restorer. They love what I can do to their Family machine on a shoe string budget of a couple hundred dollars with only weeks to months, compared to thousands of dollars and a year+ of time. Most people would not believe how little it cost us to fix up that Addams. I do this on the side as a hobby because I love it.

Next time you or any one else is at a show and see one of my machines be sure to text me and lets meet and talk PINBALL!!!

too bad for you... you're missing out on one cool franchise. Best stadium in all of baseball... right in your backyard. But, each to their own...

In full disclosure I really have no hate for the Orioles in fact they are my AL team and my second baseball love. Too many wonderful memories growing up going to games at both Memorial and Camden yards. We grow up total Orioles fans and only changed over to the Nationals when they moved back to town. A big reason is my Mom and her family were huge Senator fans and has many memories going to games with her Father and Sisters in the 50 and 60's. My Son just got married and his Dad is a huge Orioles fan and although he never enjoyed baseball that much growing up he loves watching and going to games with his now Father in law.

Hello Everyone FYI I have not posted this anywhere but I just finished shopping out a Williams DEMO Man (DM) with clear plastic posts and clear Titan competition rings, with Cool White mostly playfield lights. It looks really sweet with all of the metal ramps. Too bad I can't post pictures here. It has a normal display with three lines out on the bottom so not real noticable. I was going to post it for $2500 but I would sell it to anyone on this Thread for only $2300! or $2500 with new DMD! or $2800 if you want a COLOR DMD installed!

Just wondering what the condition was if someone checks it out-looked okay from the pics.

I have gotten great deals on Craigslist before because people don't care the value they more just want someone to take it as is and not have to deal with the headache. But like a lot of people, once he saw he could get more for it and turn it into a bidding war it was not worth it as a great deal is gone at this point unless you really are looking for a JM.

Is there such a thing as a $3,000 SS anymore? Played one last night and and really liked it.

I could be wrong but it seemed that there were at least two at York Show this past October and I am pretty sure they were both around $3k. I think a pinsider I know bought one of them and it was right around that price. Does anyone else remember the prices and condition of the ones at York. It is not my favorite machine so I tend to spend my playing time elsewhere (Hobbit Smaug edition LOL -Wait am I allowed to LOL?)

There's one in your area on CL for $1500

I know I tried to contact them today but have not heard back. With the demand for Dr. Who's right now I am sure someone snagged this up quick at that price.

BTW Coyote thanks for the ROM's lets connect this weekend! I pulled the "Fast Ball" apart so it is just a cabinet...

Looking for a Black Knight 2000, working or not.

Hey another WV Panhandle guy? Have we met? I don't have a BK2K but there are several of us in this area that get together and they fix my machines if I am too incompetent...

#5987 7 years ago
Quoted from DeathTouch:

Don't think I have met anyone on this site (in person). Bought a SpaceInvaders Pin a few months ago and have been picking
the brains in the tech forums. Was poking around and saw a PA, MD, DC, VA, WV post and BAM here I am. had no idea there were
this many people in my back yard with pins!

If you need assistance on "SI" send me a PM with the issues. Everyone I know in HF/CT works on and restores machines so we help each other out.

I've got a players/beater Addams that plays 100% working I'd like to trade or possibly sell. Playfield inserts are a mess and it has the mansion and title decal overlays. Mansion turned out fantastic but the upper should be redone and I have a new overlay for future installation. Message me if interested in working a trade.

Do you want to sell or trade only?

#6184 6 years ago
Quoted from djreddog:

This has been traded. Worked out a deal with Manny from Lights out Pinball. !

I sold a machine to Manny also, and spent about two hours going through his operation. Selling retail is hard but Manny treated me like an old friend I could not agree more.

Nothing wrong with flippin, Its America...Supply and Demand...Risk and Reward...Can be annoying? YES

#6435 6 years ago
Quoted from flynnibus:

Hobbyists blocking other hobbyists so you can make a quick buck as a hobbyist... yes that's a problem. If you don't want it, don't cock block others.

I am not endorsing it as the standard practice but I don't begrudge someone who may take the opportunity to make some money. If they need the money and/or it helps fund their hobby for something they really want they totally have the freedom to make that decision. Pinball is hot right now and people are asking a lot for machines and the reason they can is because people are willing to pay a lot. Again its supply and demand. Like it or not pinball is a BUSINESS and a HOBBY the same as cars or anything else that has value.

This isn't and wasn't really intended to be a flip. I like the game a lot.

Its all good I never saw it that way, and your friend even said he was joking, just making a general statement. Its all GOOD in my book.

Hey everyone I have an 1980 Eight Ball Deluxe project I am about to sell. I have too many projects right now and this will help fund parts for the other projects. I have not posted it yet but it will be pretty cheap as the cabinet is in rough shape however the playfield has potential and has the original mylar and not bubbly so is in decent shape for an eight ball deluxe. Some wear on it though. Also i have two sets of boards and a couple extra displays but the current ones work and it boots up and "plays" with one of the good sets. I will be posting soon for like $450-550 depending on all of the stuff that will go with it. Any interest PM me.

Who snagged up the beautiful and minty 1984 classic edition 8 Ball Deluxe in Annapolis? From the photos it looked HUO!

Where was it posted on Pinside? I did not see anything on Craigslist unless it was snagged really quick.

#6600 6 years ago
Quoted from djreddog:

It was on Craigslist. Posted around 8pm last night, post was removed this morning around 10am. I emailed him once last night around 10pm and again this morning at 6am and he finally replied back to me around 9:30am that it was sold.
I never knew a "3rd version" existed until I stumbled upon this game last night. I actually like the dark cabinet better than the original cabinet.

Funny I just shopped out the 84' LE version for a customer and sold a project 1980 version. I have not had the third version but it is a fun game and people that like the early eighties machine all want one. I love how when you start a game it says "Chalk Up" almost like it it swearing at you...

What's going on up in Fredrick MD on CL? We got nothing interesting going on in Richmond, but you guys have what looks like a good deal on a Sinbad and a Big Game.
Both of those are kinda interesting, but not 6 hour round trip interesting.

If you guys need me to post some fake ads in the Richmond area just to maybe light a spark under the area let me know...although "Skyemont" usually has that covered...

Anyone who knows Dan knows he is a pleasure to deal with. I have bought several machines from him over the years and they are always as described if not better! I wish I was in the market to buy right now!
GLWS!!!

BoP does not seem to come up for a reasonable price anymore since DP...I hope somewhere here grabs it quick.

#6661 6 years ago

Hey Super Friends of the Pinball Beltway, I have not listed it anywhere yet but I am shopping out a really nice Williams "FIRE!". I am doing a full tear down and rebuild with Titan Competition rings, Comet/Cointaker NG LEDS, rebuilt flippers, new slingshot plastics, New Rottendog LED Display (orange). This one is still a players machine but has a very nice playfield with no real wear issues but some bubbling mylar. The cabinet art is also in great shape. The buildings are all in good shape too few issues. It is fully functioning including the brass bell.

I like this thread so I post here first if anyone is in the market for one we can start discussions by PM (I do all mods and customizations). If sold through Pinside I ALWAYS post an ad and gladly pay the fee

#6677 6 years ago
Quoted from zimjoe:

No way it's still available, but if it is you should get it. Such a fun machine!

Whats more fun is visiting the owner! If you have not been to the "Barn" you are missing out! I bought a machine from Dan not knowing that he has one of the greatest collections on the East Coast. My wife and I showed up to pick up a machine like any other pinball run and he takes us out to the Barn and lets my wife play any machine she wants while he and I swap pinball stories. He could not have been a nicer or more gracious host to a couple people he just met.

#6682 6 years ago

I have a working Gottlieb "Big Hurt/Frank Thomas" and Sega "Independence Day" both are players machines that are dirty and need a good shop out. Before I get started on restoring them was looking for any comparable Trade offers. I like Williams System 11 machines or Bally/Williams DMD titles (Fish Tales, Road Show, Black Rose, T2 etc), and Super Mario Brothers or Mushroom World. Not looking to sell but will consider it if the "Price is Right"
