Agreed. How much easier could it get?

Quoted from BMore-Pinball:

So no more pins for sale listings in this thread?
It's the only for sale place i check as I have no desire to have pins shipped nor sort though for sale ads

You can still post a game for sale here. However instead of peppering the thread with a half dozen or more photos, Robin has asked that you now create a Market Ad first.

After you do that you can post here with a quick blurb about your game and then use the " Embed this ad in a forum post" link that is on the right hand column of your ad, which will give you a short code to post here.

I am including a shortcode to a FS Ad I placed which is pending as an example: "["pinsidead=37525"]" (Quotes only to show the shortcode)

This is a pretty reasonable request from a guy who is running this site without littering it with garbage like Google DFP ads. It also creates some server performance control and page performance benefits of not having to load dozens of photos. Additionally it helps build the archive which contains useful pricing information and helps people better determine reasonable purchase and sales pricing.

Additionally I believe the "fees" to be incredibly reasonable relative to eBay listings or dealing with Craigslist sketchiness.

Sales fee
Discounted sales fee (♥)

Tier 0 game ad
$ 2.50 ♥$ 1.88

Tier 1 game ad
$ 5.00 ♥$ 3.75

Tier 2 game ad
$ 10.00 ♥$ 7.50

Tier 3 game ad
$ 15.00 ♥$ 11.25

Tier 4 game ad
$ 25.00 ♥$ 18.75

Tier 5 game ad
$ 35.00 ♥$ 26.25

You pay the sales fee when ending your market place listing – and only if your item sells!
♥ The discounted fee (25% discount) applies to Pinside members with a red donation heart.

I happen to be in Ellicot City this weekend and grabbed a decapitated Getaway. My father in law and I were going to strip twist solder and shrink all the wires that were cut in an attempt to get it up and running. The ramp up/down may be missing parts. Flippers need complete rebuild. Anyone local want to dig in with us tonight? I've got the beer and my Hakko with me.

Guess that's the one from Craigslist. I was second if you didn't show up. Congrats on the score!

It is really a wreck and is going to take some considerable time to bring back to life. Playfield needs some love. Driver board is badly burned. Flipper mech on the left is totally busted. Ramp up down is broken. A few chipped plastics, oh and then there are all of the cut wires.

Sounds like a mess. Assuming it was very cheap?

Maybe not cheap enough...

Quoted from bigd1979:

I picked up a nice hs2 year or so ago for 1k . It needed a cpu and a shop job but turned out very nice. The one mentioned i probably wld of paid around the same depending on playfield /cab condition

I got it for $700 so I guess I did alright.

I am trying to figure out what part/parts I am missing to lift the ramp. I have the entire mechanism below the playfield B-12576 on page 2-29 of the manual. But I have no clue what connects from A-12577 lift crank assembly to the actual ramp. Can anyone point me to the part numbers needed or the page is the manual I am missing and perhaps a photo of these things assembled? It would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to get a shopping list together to resurrect this one.

Thanks!
