Hi not a real big tech person so I don't know if this would be feasible but I have a question/possible suggestion. I see a lot of people coming in here posting in the "Whats FS in _________" threads and it got me thinking that couldn't this possibly be a feature that could be attached in the marketplace? You could select your region and it pull only the machines for sale from that area. I don't see how you could ever tie the ebay ads into it but I am thinking maybe it could possibly be done with the pinside specific classified ads. I would think that all of the machines for sale in those areas also don't get posted in those threads and if there was just some automatic tie in where once you posted the add that based on your location it put that add into one of the lets call them "regions." Go to the search area of the marketplace check the region you were in and it pulls only the machines in your area. I realize a lot of the people on here are not from the US and I don't know how that would work but I am just kinda throwing an idea out there where maybe smarter more tech oriented people might come up with something a little better.

Sorry I know I hardly have any post on this forum to be making suggestions but not having any pins myself I tend to mainly just browse the forum news and conversations. I figured this might make things a little easier on the community though if it is at all possible.

Some of the features you're describing actually do currently exist

In the marketplace, you can browse by distance: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds

Go to advanced, and select distance from your location.

On the forums, there are regional FS threads, where people also post stuff for sale: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/forum/regional-for-sale-threads

I realize this and was thinking there could be an easier way.

I didn't realize this and if this option is available why do people bother with the "Whats For Sale in _______" ads?

Not everyone might actually list a for sale ad. Maybe they aren't quite ready to sell. Sometimes people will respond to a specific WTB ad or listing since that moves them into action after seeing someone who might be interested in buying. There's all sorts of reasons.

You also can't save multiple regional searches and easily see when there are updates to them.

people also sell non pinball items that really shouldnt be listed in the pinside market; so posting in a region thread is the best compromise
