I've been busting butt trying to get this Clear Coat project a reality. Made a playfield leveler ,
temp spray booth and working on getting temperature stable in space. With the snow and
thanksgiving coming up I've stalled.

I have a project Flight 2000 I plan on letting go. Currently powers on.
Playfield is rough, Cabinet nice enough to restencil, boards need caps, and backglass isn't great.
There are some aftermarket CPR playfields, overlays and BGresto has backglass. Though I've
seen a couple real here and there.

Buyer beware of the lady selling the Elvira and Party Monsters on CL in St. Charles. I fixed it for free with understanding I would purchase it.
I passed this game has acid Damage on boards, Batteries from 1992 in it. Cabinet art is peeling. Game is super dirty and a few issues here and there.
Warped plastics and whatnot. She was hell bent on it being worth 7k or 3k
If you can get it cheap it may be worth it. Anyhow I walked away after drilling out lock and fixing minor issues. Considering the lack of knowledge they had regarding this game I became concerned it was hot or they were selling before the boyfriend got back from work or traveling.

Pros: Very nice PF & attention to detail
Full tasteful led. I replaced all the PF parts to be stock components and everything has been gone over.
I have alot of time in on this one. This Hartop was done right following
Vid's guidelines. PF was Clear Coated before hardtop was applied.
Backglass is perfect and has mirroring.
Cons: I haven't gotten to the Cabinet. While it would be relatively easy to restore
and make it amazing. I simply haven't had the time to do this. Cabinet isn't bad
it's just not perfect. I have the stencil kit from Pinball Pimp. I just don't have
a the time with 3 kids and a other projects screaming out for my attention
Will accept some trades toward Munsters. Trying to thin out games
so I'd probably turn around and sell it sooner or later.
Haven't put up on Facebook just yet.

I have no idea.. Once they had a very beat up Elvira and the Party Monsters on showroom. The next week they had sold it for whatever they were asking at the time. The reason they exist and most traditional these places exist are location in proximity to wealth and those that want to project that image. For some dropping the list prices they ask are not even afterthought.

up inventory of a couple parts for games I plan building. Mostly Solid state drop target mechs
in working condition and roached PFs. Won't pay a premium but will pay, just looking for reuse for
a couple home-brew pinball ideas I have in the works.
Roached PF's are being used to research Clear Coat formulations and the effects on various era
surfaces. Almost finished with my CC booth. I have a few Gottleibs and Williams games PFs
that are restorable. Just wanting some basket case stuff to use for testing on as surface paint can
react to CC's in unpredictable ways. I have some art preservation training so trying to do it right.

such as 3000 - 4000 depending on issues. Do a quick look at price of parts and if your not technical figure the time
and labor cost in. I'm glad I haven't sold mine.

I do not have a full - project Space Shuttle. I do have a finished HardTop - new ramps, plastics everything, taste full LEDS , backglass - I left the incadescents in because of the strobe effect on exhaust of SS . The only thing left is to restore cabinet and fix the Ball in Play display.

Not getting out of hobby but downsizing. I simply do not have the time nor

STL lost a great pinball tech this year. Andrew Coy passed away this weekend.
He fixed many issues with my games over the years that I could not. He taught me
a couple things along the way. He will be missed.
Thought I'd share the news as I know some of you don't do facebook and might of heard the news yet.

You could probably find those other titles fairly easily. I've owned 5 Getaways over the years (think Pinballs.com got 1. the others all sold in STL area), 2 NBAS (STL ) and 2 Black roses ( 1 STL other no idea where it went ).
Of them all I had a beautiful NBA from Top Score Gamerooms for awhile it has to be out there still. Think it's in Des Peres or Ballwin MO.
Finding a nice Getaway and Black Rose is going be a challenge. Never had a perfect Getaway they are always faded, with some insert wear or worse. Your best bet is get a Getaway PF from Mirco and Radicals ( now I'm getting tempted to do same ) and find a working example that you can swap out. Might be a couple Who Dunnit's but think your looking at the same worn down story in midwest( couple in KC for sure but no idea on PF availability ) . You should probably go looking around Virgina, Carolinas and see if you can find one. Gilligan's Island - there was a nice example for awhile ( think rich had one - or Keith foy ) had one.. You should hit them up and see..
Sure if you looked on Colorado or Texas you'd find some of these and be able to pick them up at TPF or Colorado Pinball Showdown 2022. Slim pickins lately but Money seems to talk to us reluctant folk. I'm working on letting go a few games soon but nothing on your list yet.

This is HUO in mint collector's condition.

I imagine those games were passed on for a reason... Ever try to find parts for some of those titles. Possibly worth 1/3 of asking price on some. There might be a diamond in the rough here and there but they all look like 600 EU junkers.

You got be crazy to spend big $ on a project like that unless it is Rare and worth fixing.
The other aspect to think about is that some of the parts are unobtainable in this market or not worth obtaining to make a players game that you'll never recoup your investment on. These guys may be nice and all that but it's a business and thats how they wanna roll. With the recession here and money getting tight youd be a fool to move on some of those "Projects". If you've got the parts and a guy who can fix em quick on hand perhaps it's worthwhile. Anyone new to hobby should look to see if you can get Ramps, Plastics or any parts that may be missing. They are missing for a reason.
The other thing you gotta factor in.. People with $ to buy the Diamonds in the ruff so to speak have already been thru this stuff..Several weeks back. Whats left is stuff they can't refurb, cost effectively or at all. They are basically targeting folks that don't know better. Sorry but thats what I see.

Would be cool to have a Missouri / St. Louis / KC or Columbia MO event. Where we
bring our machines to be Judged / Swap / Auction or Sell.
This could be done at:
Hotel (expensive ) VFW, Masonic Lodge, Farmers Market, Flea Market , Machinist or other Hall.
Any ideas. Talked to one person about setting up Tents outside somewhere. Possible but ..
Would anyone out there be willing to do something like this. On a specific date.
I'd be willing to help organize, or volunteer.. Anyone Else.. Figure if we can get a group
of people to help organize, bring games volunteer. Gauging interest.
Maybe we could have a event / tournament that corresponds at a location.
Could Missouri pull this off?
I'm going to check out a couple spaces to see if there is anything in the realm of possibility in the St. Louis / St. Charles. Probably more on Westport / St. Charles Rock Road areas as I have access to them. Figure 6-8 months would be enough notice to get people interested. Possibly get a Vendor or Vendors there. Something grassroots. There certainly are enough collectors here to pull this off that don't do Pinball Tournaments and general public.

I do have some leads on some space that are not outside the realms of reason from a cost perspective that
are decent locations with close proximity to major highways , hotels and airport. Not loosing money is my major
concern I'm thinking that it would have to be similar to the Midwest Gaming event with Arcades, Board gaming,
Consoles and other stuff to make it pull people in. Lastly determining a door cost.. This is a pretty major undertaking which

I'm not sure a simple meetup, or swap meet would work out without 6 months or more notification or some other pull.
I do think St. Louis has enough collectors and folks to make it interesting. The # of volunteers needed is another aspect.
Getting a Space, Marketing it and then getting volunteers to make it happen. All keys to success. Maybe the first step
would be possibly partnering with Archon or another event.

GOTG Pro will be a harder title to find locally. Lot of people will just trade them in to Distro or sell quickly on FB marketplace. I'm not even sure people bother with Craigslist anymore.
Honestly driving up to Chicago, Indianapolis, KC, Springfield or Nashville really isn't that far if you have a day to burn.
That game is pretty desirable but many of us have already sold off our GOTG a couple years back. Probably a couple left out in the wild. Just wait until another Godzilla or blockbuster Cornerstone game from Stern, JJP is released and people need to make room. Unfortunately the high price NIB market has slowed many peoples rotations.
