They did not sell last time So i doubt they will this time. Being new I could be wrong but I feel from my own experience in other things. AND commnon sense on items like this that even near mint ones have sold for maybe the top of the mark on valuation. DOUBLE is going to be hard thing to do. I think when you put that much work and effort into a restoration or upgrading you are simply just eating in to any profits you could get. I do not think ANY ONE will buy any of those for double the price. even in that condition.
I could be wrong. but money now is worth more than a little bit more later. So if it took him 10 years to sell it accounting for inflation and the lack of being able to use that money to make more. he would prob end up having actually lost money (opportunity cost)
If something is only selling for 5k and I buy a broken one for 1k If I out 10 k into it I would never expect to get 10k out of it. As well done and clean as they are. They are simply just near mint. They are not original and not new. Just nicely restored. These are not Ferrari GTOs' I do not think anyone would buy it for that much of a premium. NOW the one time he listed is TOTAN for 11k when they sell for 9-10k his condition I would prob buy that one.
However I would not pay double. same goes for the others. those would be a hard sell for those prices. I also do not know what he put into it but even cars most people spend more into them than they get out of them I feel these would be worse for putting too much money in to it.
I love clean new things as opposed to older used items. I also love TOTAN and Taxi however I would not pay double for one. If I found one NOS I may pay an extra 15% tops. Would anyone else? IDK But given the comments and the fact they didn't sell last time kinda says the same thing.
Just my new 2 cents though. There is some basis in asking a premium though I will give you that. as opposed to just no reason wanting double. With him moving (presumably not wanting to move with those) that's a need to sell situation rather than a not wanting to sell but someone wants to bnuy situation. which generally garners a lower price.

Like I mentioned above I could be wrong. Time will tell. I may be new, but I can still look at past history of sales on anything I buy. These machines mentioned above at least have some basis behind the extra premium I was just saying I think its a little bit too much of a premium. It is not baseless though so its not like he's just trying to rip someone off.

I would say complaining about that would be what's completely off topic and should be either reported. downvoted or pm'd Not complaining. that is literally off topic. and a bit hypocritical I was also not even the only one who thought it was over priced.
Also they are the ones waging war on my opinion on the price. asking questions as to why he thought they were worth that much. pretty on topic to me. Seems its a place to complain about others though? Talking about a given item for sale in Ohio literally is sticking to the topic. Had they been half the price and people were saying how good of a deal it was would totally have been ok then huh? and it was like 2 other people that were complaining. I was not the first who mentioned the overpricing as well. I just added where others have sold..

what a better person would have done would have been to post the links to the build threads and mentioned why they thought it was fine. Someone did Just that but immediately after a few people wanted to completely derail the topic complaining about someone else's post ABOUT SOMETHING FOR SALE.

On topic is discussing a for sale item Just because you do not agree with he comment does not make it off topic. And I work in sales. I know that people want to feel like they got a deal so instead of saying 4500 firm to get what I got out of it, or only lose a little, I put OBO and a little more since everyone always wants to negotiate a little. So by adding a little more. When someone comes and says hey would you take 4500 I will say sure. Or u ha e this for trade it's worth 4k. Of I ad on 200 or 300 would you do that. And I can say. Sure man.(or woman)
That's why I put OBO. People love to negotiate. When you put firm less people are interested. I'm not looking for a profit and I even explained this to the person I bought this for before hand as I didn't want to offend him. I just can't deal with the flashing for multiball on this game. Some other games don't do it this bad. Hence why I prefer to trade anyway.

If you think on 4700obo someone is not going to expect to get a few hundred off you are mistaken. I am sure you have listed enough things to know you get ordered lower amounts all the time. even if you do have firm for pricing. Also you get more people who will respond to an add when they know they can negotiate a bit.

3k isn't TOO bad (although a few of those are selling cheaper and even obo at the lower price), maybe a bit high in my book for some old machine, depends on condition etc. 3k may be ok if it's super clean fully working, completely shopped etc.
Older machines, haven't gotten TOOO bad, but that is because no one wants some police force, or flintstones pin lol. I think a NICE taxi is worth 4k tops. and a deadpool pro 5500 TOPS. Stranger things pro tops 5500 ish, depending on fan boi ness for the series.
I also think someone is selling a Simpsons that was like 2k a few years ago for like 8 k now lmfao that is probably 3 or 4k tops if in super nice condition. Someone is selling anon working project for like 5000 on facebook.
it's funny when I see these ads listed for months at a time. Sure no rush to sell or to by, but it's clear why they are only making a 4 digit number of the things a year. Too much of a circle jerk for anyone new to bother, getting that stranger things and then selling it a year later, only to have shit be ridiculous now, along with new prices are just leaving a salty taste in my mouth and I don't like hobbies that do that. my gf has been bugging me to get one again soon, but I have been spending my money on full scale planes. But I hope the rest of would be hobbies start leaving this hobby too. It's that sorta thing that just kills it for everyone. shame too.
I think dead pool used to be like 5000 not too long ago, probably would have bought one for that. but 7k is bs.
lol, are you even in Ohio? I am literally using the same site you are, there is one for 2500. The point is, many that are home use only are different and may hold value more so, but ones that have been at the local bowling ally til they barely work any more and they still think it's worth the same top tier dollar that a 200 HUO machine is lmao.
Being used up that much to the point it needs parts to function right is probably a 2k endeavor at a min. So their prices should reflect it. I am not expecting a ME Madness royal for 5k, I think that is fine at 15 to 20k if perfect and upgraded etc. but those are key machines, not some random ass police force. You can "lol" all you want, the fact is 3k is the most of any currently listed.
