They had contacted me earlier this morning...said they had a offer of $800...I told them I'd go $850.
It sounded as though I'd get it.
They emailed me an hour later and said they had sold it someone else.

Didn't the ad list it for something like $400?
I hate it when CL ads turn into an auction.
The seller contacted me and asked if I could beat someone else's offered price. I know it's not "the right thing to do", but even at $850, it was a steal.

I've known Dennis for years. He's a good guy.

I agree 100%
I've personally seen many of the machines he's "serviced, and/or sold". Anyone with any pinball knowledge at all knows to stay clear of this guy.
I stopped by Arcade Rescue when they first started their business. They don't seem to know much about pinball at all.
