When Shatner comes a calling... you need to be ready to answer.
It looks to be in great shape btw other than the rubbers falling apart.

Are any of the Matts with Rescue 911s interested in swapping at all?
Also, weird that three Matts in the same general area have the same game, if I'm reading this right.
My name is Matt but I'm not really fond of Rescue 911 pinball... However, I repaired one two months ago in Ohio.
If I saw a cheap one I would buy it and play it for a few months before unloading it. Also, I'm only 20 mins from Indiana.
What if we only swap one r911 for another though?
*thread soon to be retitled to "What's for sale Matt?"
I spent some time this weekend with the Rescue 911 and I have never seen a pin from this era this clean before. Very minimal coil dust inside the cabinet. The playfield was very dirty when we brought it home; but, it wiped right off. Other than some slight wear (like a little bit of minor, minor chipping of the paint) around the edges of the helicopter hole and the vertical up kicker in back and some minor heat related lifting of mylar over a couple of inserts, the whole thing is pristine. The only things that had to be replaced were all of the rubbers which were crumbling. The boards all are in great shape with no hack jobs. I went ahead and removed the lithium battery(who's great idea was it to solder the damn thing to the board) and ran leads to move the new one away.
I spent far more time researching potential issues and their fixes than I did actually cleaning the thing up.
I wonder if this thing was home use only for most of its life as it still has all of the cards, manuals, and spare parts still in the stapled bags. It even has a sealed helicopter replacement rubber wheel and extra props! I'll need to take a look and see if the Gottlieb System 3 has any audits to see how many games and if any where paid games.
The only thing that didn't work after I got it cleaned was the helicopter rotation (it was working before). It turns out I cleaned (and waxed) the turntable and there wasn't enough friction for the rubber to grab. I simply added some traction tape and it's working great again now.
Craiglist miracles do come true it seems.
That's great. I love it when someone gets a real score. I love it more when I do though.
I picked up Popeye on the cheap this weekend, similar story. Not as cheap as what you got R911 for though.
I know people either love or hate Popeye, but I love it. I love super pins. The kids are excited too....
Now, I need to trade a couple and we'll be good.
Just listed my Twilight Zone with original unfaded cab and tons of mods. Really looking for a sale & not a trade. Trying to raise funds for a new pin before Expo ideally.

Hello Indiana,
I'm from just North of your fine state and selling my nice Gottlieb/Premier Monte Carlo with several upgrades and original topper. Description and pictures here:
It looks great. I've often wondered about this machine. I'm at max capacity or I'd certainly come get it.
Howdy,
I am putting this information out there to see if anyone is interested in trading 2-3 of my less expensive machines for 1 of your more expensive machines. I'm not wanting to sell. I am open to many titles, I’ll just have to research what you might want to trade. The only thing that I can’t do are things like Nightmare on Elm Street, Playboy, and Tales from the Crypt, that type of thing. I’ve got two young kids.
I am open to trading my Vector, Pharaoh, and perhaps, Popeye, Super Mario Bros and Stargate.
Vector is in pristine shape for the most part. Board has been redone with NVROM, has the LED light compatible board and full LEDs (exception that I broke a couple of sockets that should be easy to fix when putting them in, and there are a few that haven’t been changed but I have the bulbs). It plays as it should as far as I can tell. It has some light playfield wear that has been touched up. It’s had new decals where needed. The plastics are at 85%, see pics. The cabinet and backglass are great. Before I got it this year, it spent 15 years in an older couple’s basement.
Pharaoh is my favorite machine. The cabinet had some wear that I touched up. It has a leg that is a little loose and the tilt isn’t hooked up. It plays 100%, has a reworked board with NVROM. The playfield has had some light touch ups and 2 of the plastic arrows are rising. The playfield plastics are 88%. It has full LEDs and is very bright with warm white. The backglass is perfect. So many of these machines had a backglass that dissolved, not this one. It has a bridge rectifier board that has not been installed. All new decals on the pop up targets.
Super Mario was my first game and my kids may lose their minds if I trade it. The cabinet was dinged up and I touched it up, the playfield had some wear that was touched up. It has Cliffy’s installed, full LEDs and plays 100% (minus the right kicker I need to fix). One of the ramps has a crack in it that I fixed with super thick packing tape. You can’t tell and it plays great. I have put in some Mario figures that you can remove if you’d like. I modded the “castle” with a piece of PVC and painted it like the actual Mario castle with Bowser atop. It spins and has a purple light under it.
Stargate is in awesome shape. It’s a 9 out of 10. Plays 100%. The skill shot ramp had a crack in it that I fixed with the heavy tape. I did buy another ramp that I haven’t installed. I also bought new stickers for that ramp and the pop up targets. It also has full LEDs and is very bright, light strips abound. I never get sick of that game.
Popeye, it’s a 9 out of 10. It’s in awesome shape. For all it’s controversy, is a fun game. I haven’t had it too long and I’m hesitant to get rid of it because I haven’t had as much time on it. For the right deal it can go. It has the incandescent in it still. It plays 100% but evidently has two switches stuck that I haven’t tried to fix yet.
I know this is a weird posting. I’m just looking for something new. I’m looking for kid friendly titles. Batman Forever is on my list. If interested drop me a line.
I'm in Carmel IN, I'd prefer we come visit each other's machines if we decide a trade is possible.
Thanks all.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Machine is sold. Went pretty fast. It was out of my house within 2 or 3 days of posting.
Hi Indiana,
A Michigander here. Long shot: I have a Demo Man and would like to work-out a trade for a Batman Forever. Any interest?
My neighbor has a really nice Junkyard he's looking to sell. He's wanting $3,000 firm, no haggling. PM me if interested and I'll get you in touch with him...
Stern Playboy $1500 OBO, its the notorious fire survivor. Details in link in add. Game is fully playable right now, but could obviously be brought back even better.

Neighbor's Junkyard is sold. Kinda sorta kicking around selling or trading my R&B...but not sure yet...

Have my Hook pinball machine up for sale on Craigslist. Shopped, new rubbers, 95% LED. Playing 100%. Open to trades +/- cash. If we can reach agreement on trade, I can do the driving.

Big thumbs up to whomever offered more for the Comet. Might as well take the Hotdoggin too. Gotta go get 'em immediately or else someone else will pay more. Funny thing, I knew that would happen and offered to visit the guy ASAP, but he said he was busy...must've taken a sizable offer to change his mind.
Here ya go:

So know that when the flip is posted for a Comet, the original ad was $400 for the pair.
Also have a Last Action Hero, $2,000 obo:
http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Rotflmaobbq/library/Last%20Action%20Hero
On the LAH, I replaced the coil stops, coil sleeves, and springs. Flippers make all shots with ease. Full LED's. Scoops have some wear and could use Cliffy's. Crane and shaker work fine. Subwoofer on the floor is not included.
LAH is running custom version 1.13 info here:
https://sites.google.com/site/lahpinballmod/home
Trades considered, cash preferred.
While I'm here, I'll also list a few arcade games that I'd consider selling:
Punch-Out!: good condition all around, has side art ready to be applied - $1,500
House of the Dead 3: 50-inch screen deluxe unit. Second gun needs sensor work, but player 1's gun is fine - $1,000
Kixx bubble soccer: ICE's soccer version of their Chexx bubble hockey machines. Don't see many of these. -$1,500
players need to be painted, but electronics work fine.
Pictures of the arcade stuff on request.
Added over 7 years ago: Arcade stuff is still available, LAH is gone.
Hey guys,
Thinking about listing a Bally Star Trek, a Game Plan Coney Island and a Zacharia Devil Rider. The Star Trek in avg/above avg shape, the Coney Island working but Playfield kinda so so, the Zach is beautiful. Will list them and post pics and prices in a few days. Also might list a Genie project with no boards but has displays.
Mike
Check out my Loaded STTNG. Trades welcome
I'm looking for a Bram Stoker's Dracula if anyone has one they would like to sell. Played this at the Chicago Expo and really loved it! Great gameplay, theme, artwork...
Please let me know of any leads on how to find one here in Indiana or surrounding states.
Thanks,
Nate

I thought you already bought powder coated parts for your TSPP?

I might get some stuff done on my other games. Probably not the full treatment, but I was going to see about shooter housings and habitrails.

Not really local but close Steve at Pinball refinery!

Yeah, he did good work on my TSPP...and (I think) the Metallica too. I just looked up random businesses here in the city and wasn't sure if anyone had used one of them. I wouldn't bother just going in blindly with any of those companies, but didn't know if someone had used one of them previously. Probably better to just stick with the recommended companies that know the hobbyists and do it right. I was just looking over the habitrails and ramps on my other games and shipping them would cost quite a bit since they're so oddly shaped.

I think Matt at Back Alley Creations up in NW Indiana does powder coating but I'm not 100% positive.

Considering listing my Fish Tales to possibly fund a Rob Zombie. I'm on the fence though. Anyone played one?
Quoted from davijc02:Considering listing my Fish Tales to possibly fund a Rob Zombie. I'm on the fence though. Anyone played one?
I owned it and liked it. Had to sell for personal financial reasons at the time. I miss it. It was very different and non traditional thought just as a warning. It had mixed reviews from the location where I had it at. I would get one again in the future, but would get some other titles before I would pursue one again.
Thanks for the insight. It looks cool as hell, but I do love Fish Tales and I don't see my wife being cool with the purchase unless I offload the FT. I only have one machine at the moment and would love to have a small collection. I never mentioned to the wife that I also one day would like a Hobbit or Dialed In! She thought 6k was outrageous!
I was just kidding... surprisingly mine is already spoken for when I decide to move on!
It does play better than I thought it would before I got it, but I do echo the sentiments about the "cheap" feel to the build (which makes me laugh whenever someone comments on the "appallingly cheap feel of 'new Sterns like GB' " because there is a world of difference between new Sterns and RAVEN).
