I have a Cyclone that needed a new battery holder due to corrosion when I first got it. I replaced it with a new one and put in fresh AA batteries.

Within about 2 weeks, they died, and I got the "factory adjustment" message.

Figured it was a bad set of batteries. Put in another set, and same problem two weeks later.

So I changed out the Diodes at D1 and D2 with new replacements being careful to install with the banded side oriented correctly for each.

Now the new batteries are dying within two DAYS, not weeks.

I am POSITIVE the banded side is correctly oriented, and the diodes are brand new from Mouser. What gives?

Sorry, guys,

Game is at a customer's house, and I haven't been back there to get a picture.

He decided to go the NVRAM route, and this has "cured" the issue, but not solved the underlying issue. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful in actually fixing the problem for those that prefer to keep their games original.
